    Sparky

    ElectroMagnetic Force Bubble Teammate ...

Sparky is not compatible with "bad guy" Player Characters; e.g. when allied with Nuka-World Raiders.

PATCH WARNING: Install the Sparky Automatron DLC Patch if using the Automatron DLC. It prevents interior walls and floors from becoming invisible or missing at the General Atomics Factory. Position it below SparkyEMFB in your "load order" sequence. You can uninstall the patch after completing Sparky's "A Better Zap" quest (which takes you to the General Atomics Factory).

CONFLICT WARNING: This mod requires access to Vault 111. There may or may not be a conflict with a particular "alternate start" mod depending on whether that mod allows or prevents entry.

CONFLICT WARNING: Unlimited Companion (Follower) Framework and Amazing Follower Tweaks both have conflicts with Sparky by forcing standard "companion" dialog/command interactions, which can seriously "break" my scripting and Sparky's subsequent behavior. The same holds true for other mods that override NPC behavior to force being a companion. Those kinds of mods can sometimes (not always) be installed and used on other NPCs without problems -- but *never* use them to "recruit" Sparky, or to manage Sparky, or interact with Sparky, or affect Sparky in any way. Never force Sparky to be managed in any way by some other mod. Instead, always use Sparky's own Controller functions.

If you use Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) to install mods and patches, go get the newest version found Here.

An .ESL version of Sparky and its associated Automatron DLC patch have been uploaded.

Sparky is a really good companion. He kind of follows you around without bothering you. Then, when the nasty, sticky stuff hits the fan he brings the hurt! I just took him to Fallon and he was hurling lightning at the super mutants. Thanks for a great mod.

This Mod worked very well in my playthrough with multiple companions in tow (War, Wintermute, ADA2Human as Nier with voice over Mod and Teenage Nat companion. There were a few areas I had to play it close to the vest, but nothing bugged. And playing with over 600+ Mods this round that's quite a feat! I HIGHLY endorse this Mod!!! Very well done my friend.

Minor issue found: The overseer escape tunnel door in vault 111 is already open before opening it with the console. No biggie of course but thought I would mention it.
I am only 99% certain its this mod!

I started a new play-through with only this mod installed.  Upon reaching the Overseer's office, I confirmed that the escape tunnel door was closed and locked as expected, and that it could only be opened via the Overseer's console terminal.

Which means that some other mod caused the issue you reported, either by itself or as a result of a "conflict" between that mod and this one.  Assuming this is the full extent of the underlying problem, there is likely to be no meaningful impact on continued play.

    Hello,

On the quest "a better spark," the sentry bot does not let me loot it. When I initially went to the sentry bot's spot, the bot clipped through a cage added from another mod.

The quest marker clearly shows on the bot's head, and all other steps eventually turned into containers aside from this one.

Should I try advancing the stage? or should I try the quest called SparkyMissionFixerQUEST "Sparky Mission Fixer" [QUST:FE00099C] will starting or running that fix it possibly? or should I just respawn the sentry bot (SparkySentryBotCORPSE "Sentry Bot" [NPC_:FE0008F1])

Also, have you considered consolidating/refactoring your robot "suite" of mods as one pack? It would be nice to possibly share data between some of your characters and minimize the total scripts running per settlement.

As always, much love, your stuff is excellent.

The mission fixer does not repair issues with "A Better Zap".  I suggest first uninstalling or disabling all other mods that alter that location in any way (because at least one of those conflicts with this mod, perhaps simply due to objects overlapping).  Then see if you can continue the mission.  If that doesn't work, you probably need to fall back to an earlier saved game that you created before "A Better Zap" began (while keeping conflicting mods uninstalled/disabled).

If you are familiar with Console Mode commands, you could try to select the conflicting object while in console mode and then force it to be disabled. That might enable you to continue the mission.

My current mods are essentially "done" except for bug fixing as needed, with no plans to release a mod merger or cross-interaction.

Wonderful mod but I found some kind of bug on the pockets needed quest, the quest items doesn't seem to appear on the cell at Cit Rotunda, the quest pointer is there but it's pointing at the air where supposedly the item should have been. (sorry for the bad English is not my native language) screenshot here: https://imgur.com/n6nXjto

It is an "area" marker.  The idea is for you to begin looking for the quest objective when you arrive at that marker.

oh.. haha thanks for the immediate reply I was so used to being that the quest marker will be pointed at the intended materials needed that I thought that my game somehow bugged out, so thanks, this kind of quest is something that I kind of missed where we players have to make effort completing quest rather being pointed us to it.

Hi! I love this mod it is great but i have a problem with one of the quest for the little guy! Its called Tactical Overload and i have to find a micro fusion core down in University Point and the marker leads me to a bank like place where ive explored the whole thing both entrances , since one is the front of the banks counter and the other being behind the counter. There, Is a stair case where it leads down to the vault and marker, but its glitched through the wall? the marker just sits there, glitched in the wall and i cannot figure it out

You need to discover the hidden means of entering a secret area -- it is actually a base-game feature and location.

It looks like the Spark Automatron DLC ESL download is actually an ESP, not an ESL.

Yes, that is intentional and it works correctly for the .ESL version of Sparky.

    Ok, this is really cool.

I need one of these in skyrim.

Oh, and yeah, my dad got me into models and rc airplanes as well.

    thanks for sharing.

Seems interesting enough to try out. Just to check, it only 'beeps' to speak right? No sudden 'Hey listen!' jumping out at us?

Just something I noticed - The file inside the archive for the ESL version of the patch is an esp. MO2 also doesn't report it as being an esl file when I install it.
    Is this as it should be, and it's just me who is missing something ot doing something wrong? ^^;

The patch is correctly an .ESP file, regardless of whether you installed the .ESP or .ESL version of this mod.

      I see (:
I was just wondering if you did that on purpose, seeing as you mention that the patch can be uninstalled again after finished the affiliated quest?

Yes, it is on purpose, simply because that is the way it is done; .esp is used to modify .esm and .esl.

Hi~ I have found that I really enjoyed your companion so much while playing FO4 that I was really hoping that you would consider making a version for Fallout 76. I understand that we will be able to have companions with the new expansion.

    Thanks

When they originally announced Fallout 76 it was stated that mod support would only exist for private servers, which caused me to discontinue thinking in that direction. Haven't revisited my thoughts on that. So maybe, but maybe not -- I am currently still a bit busy with Fallout 4 modding. But thank you for the nudge!
