I really do like this and it makes having settlers around more interesting.
Unfortunately, I'm having an issue with it. It seems like the renamed settlers will fail to voice their normal settler lines (ie - you see a subtitle but hear nothing) and the lines they do voice are all RAIDER lines like "I hate it when they beg!" etc.. :O
I'm curious... the only reason I wanted this was for settlers. Perhaps, would it be less buggy and better if I just had a version installed that handled Settlers (with Raiders left out of the mod)? Is there a chance you would be willing to provide a stripped down version like this?
Thank you so much for this mod though, despite above mentioned issues! ^_^
True, though I am also having issues with Settlers having no or raider voiced lines. If you think this a incompatibility conflict, could you pinpoint what might be going wrong?:)
Alright, took a look at the file. What I see is that you took the time to give the template many different voice VTCK's. My guess is that a bunch of these only have raider/gunner lines and no Settler lines in them. Could this be it? Is there a reliable way of filtering out the missmatching VTCK's?
Edit: As a test, I changed the VTCK's of a few settlers with no voice into the standard EvenVoicedMale; this fixed it. I'd imagine, however, that any raiders with these names now won't say any raider lines. So actually making separate name lists for Raiders and Settlers and NOT including any VTCK's from NPC's that would have no settler dialogue would fix this issue.
Removed the raider naming and replaced the gunner and raider VTCK's and it works decently now. Still a lot of voice templates used that don't have Settler dialog so that'd be another sweep worth of filtering.
Nice mod, gives my new sims names also raiders, however settlers that were at the settlememt before the mod was installed are still settlers :(, great mod however.
Unique NPC's names all your settlers as well. You could have gotten rid of DCMS ages ago. Granted, some of the names are odd. It's weird seeing a settler named Nitro Panic, or A Nice Oak. The poor ghouls have it the worst. I've never known why he couldn't have just had the names pull from the Codsworth list.
Speaking of DCMS, I never understood why the mod author didn't just make a light version that removed the harmful scripts and left the goodness instead of just yanking the mod altogether. It still would have been hugely popular.
I like this. It adds the idea that all those raiders you slay on your path were actually people, not just nameless malevolent entities. Stuff like that. Will you remember how many you've killed?
It would make sense if it was scripted so that the generic name like "Raider Veteran" etc. would be displayed until you actually hear their name mentioned.
On the other hand, named NPC's in vanilla game has their names displayed when you point at them regardless of whether or not you ever heard their name before. So this mod would be consistent with that mechanic.

Thank you for solving this serious issue :D
....now I just need to figure out how they tagged the player's bed...
