Halloween Hoedown 2017 adds a new gourd breed that can be planted and harvested like any other consumable plant in the game. Eating the gourds restores health like any other plant but has the added benefit of healing infections, parasites, fatigue, and lethargy when eaten in survival mode. They can also be used to create decorations!

Halloween Hoedown 2017 adds a new gourd breed that can be planted and harvested like any other consumable plant in the game. Dumpkin gourds come in three available colors: orange and green and purple. Eating the gourds restores health like any other plant but has the added benefit of healing infections, parasites, fatigue, and lethargy when eaten in survival mode. Harvested dumpkin gourds can also be used to create nine different jack-o-lanterns to decorate your settlements.
You can find these gourds growing wild at the Wildwood Cemetery, a vanilla location in the game.
