For anyone looking to get rid of the DLCUltraHighResolution.esm dependency: (Please note that this is not a general guide to removing dependencies from mods)
Download FO4Edit.
Create a copy of DLCworkshop01.esm (or the smallest .esm you have) and rename it to "DLCUltraHighResolution.esm" without quotes.
Activate this mod and DLCUltraHighResolution.esm, but don't start the game yet.
Open FO4Edit and uncheck everything that isn't this mod and its dependencies (i.e. only this mod, Fallout.esm and the official DLCs are checked)
Wait for it to finish loading references.
Right-click "No Crafting Mats Needed.esp" and select "Clean Masters (= Remove all unused Masters)". Confirm on the prompt.
Check the View tab to confirm that DLCUltraHighResolution.esm is no longer listed as a Master File.
Hit Ctrl+S to save.
Delete DLCUltraHighResolution.esm.
Enjoy your game. :)
Easy fix but out of reach without going into technical things because FO4Edit is the definition of intimidating for a non-modder. Hopefully the mod author will upload a fixed version after all these years, but until then this will hopefully help anyone else that's lost.
For those in 2020/2021 wanting to use this but are confused by the DLCUltraHighResolution.esm requirement, you can make a copy of ANY esm you already have (preferrably a small sized one) and rename it to DLCUltraHighResolution.esm and use FO4edit to remove the master file dependency. After that, you can delete the copied/renamed esm.
Hello I'm new to modding is there a way you can do a tutorial on this? I have done the copy and renaming the file but dont quite understand how to delete master file dependency.
Weirdly enough, the mod works, but I am unable to craft some settlement items after enabling it, for example the simple turret for defense it lists with no mat requirements just like the other crafting items, but it will not show up to place it, after deactivating the mod I can place the turret as normal with normal mat costs. Any ideea ?
It's the one on the game's steam page. But installing it is optional, and i would not recommend using it either. It's better to install "Better Console", click on an item, and then use it's base ID to get the same item, works for me?
The newest file says I don't have the required files to activate the esp, even though I have all the DLC. Does it require the high res texture pack too? The older version works fine.
As much as I'd like to use this mod, I've no plans to download the massive high-res graphics patch it's determined to have as a master. really hoping there's an update on the way. Until then, I guess I'll just keep this on tracking to keep an eye on it...
