Simply use Face Ripper to transfer your spouse's face to this small override patch (the ID ending in 10 is for Nora, the one ending in 98 is for Nate).
This will override AFT's clone of the default spouse with the one you choose.
Good for you. The point here, though (as stated in the description you didn't read), is just that your spouse already has your custom appearance before you revive them, instead of making you wait until afterwards to change them with the looks menu.
Hope you feel better. Dheuster did indeed do brilliantly, but there's a detail for those of us also using Start Me Up (such as Yours Truly), specifically the options where you begin as a Commonwealth denizen who *locates* 111.
Start Me Up has the body of the Vault Dweller you're "replacing" laying in the generator room. However, it is the default Nate or Nora. As Codsworth flat out believes you to be the would-have-been Survivor, shouldn't that one look like you do, just in a 111 Vault Suit?
Hey, hopefully you're tracking AFT, but just in case you're not, Dheuster has now made available an optional download that makes this mod obsolete! Go check it out!

Again, thank you!
Thanks for the kind words. I had the same experience, which was why I made this, after talking to Dheuster to make sure I was doing it right.
(I almost didn't upload it because it's so simple.)
