Is there a chance that you could make the same thing but with x-02 armor instead of x-01? (Enclave X-02 Power Armor at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community)

From the Q/A in the mod's description (why do I bother writing those)...

"Q: Will you make any other Power Armor type swaps?
A: I doubt it, no (sorry)."

Hi, and Thank you for your mod. Please, you can't make a mod with just T-51, so it's only T-51 and T-45 is in the game. I think they both fit better into the 60's era, like the rest of the Commonwealth. My favorite is of course the T-51.

Or is it difficult to do yourself? And is it okay to change that in your mod?

I don't really play Fallout 4 anymore, but you can do it yourself if you'd like. It's not that hard.

I just checked, only the X-01 paints are there, could you try and fix this? Also, would it be possible too, since you made the x-01 look like t-60, but also make the t-60 look like x-01? I want the t-60 to be the best PA since it looks the best to me and x-01 to be 2nd best while remaining in the game.

If you want that, it'd be a lot easier to simply swap the stats of the X01 and T60 armors. A few record edits to the armors and a plugin would be all you'd need.

What you're asking me to do would require creating a plugin anyways, so you might as well just swap the stats and leave the meshes alone. That's the simplest solution.

I did try doing that. But I am using a mod called PPA expanded “Powerful power armor” that alters the stats. So they conflict. I’ll probably just end up using fo4 edit.

Making the edits to PPA directly with FO4Edit would be the easiest solution, yeah.

Does this allow you to put t-60 paint jobs on the X-01? For example the bos paint jobs.

if i have a high res texture/meshes mod for my t-60, and i want to carry those high res textures/meshes over so that they replace my x-01, how could I do that? because right now I have awesome looking modded t-60 power armor, and the x-01 looks like a t-60 but it is vanilla textures/meshes. and looking at them side by side makes me wanna barf.

Any texture replacers should work automatically with this model swap without requiring any changes. If the mod in question also makes changes to the meshes... then a patch would need to be made.

So I think I just found a little bug. Not totally sure it's because of this mod, but I figured you'd know better than I would. I just removed this mod temporarily to check something, and for some reason the jetpacks on the X-01 armor are now messed up. They're way off the armor to the side when I'm not in the armor, and they're jammed into my back when I'm in it.

That's inevitable. Remove the jetpack mod from the torso armor and then put it back on and it should fix itself. If that doesn't work, then spawn a new chest plate and add a jetpack to it.

Jetpacks are very buggy with power armor to begin with... n.nU

Nevermind! It fixed itself. Sorry about that! Anyways, thanks again for fulfilling my original request way back when for the X-01 to T-51b conversion. It's still one of my favorite mods. <3

Ha. I wish more games would give options for the players to "use what they like best" for armor, instead of whatever happens to be "best in slot"...

At least some kind of "upgrade old gear to be on par with "current" stuff" is always something I love seeing in a game, and also rarely see... ;[

Bummer that you're not going to make other versions, man. T-51b's my favorite armor. Still, kudos to you for making this one! You get a thumbs up from me. (Yes, I did read the bit where you said you weren't going to make more.)

Model swaps are absurdly easy to do - just copy+paste a few files and rename them. I was about fed up (and completed every single thing) with Fallout 4 at the time of this mod, and getting depressed at the lack of modding options.

I'm able to get a bit more "into" the game now that we've *FINALLY* figured out how the stupid gun meshes work and can make custom models again (having A LOT of fun with the crossbow at the moment - that was one of my favorite Fallout: New Vegas mods), so I'll fulfill your request (it will take my 5 mins MAX >.> ).

Done. Took me a hell of alot longer to update the mod page and amend some descriptions than it did to do the model swap lol.

See option files. Did not test in-game - lemme know how it goes! n.nU

So I could have sworn I'd posted something about this the other day, but I guess I forgot to hit Submit like an idiot. Anyways, it works great! I just wish there was a way to put some of the T-51b paint jobs on it, like the Winterized version. However, I know that would probably require a completely separate file and extra work, so I'll just be content with what I've got right now. Maybe someday I'll look into learning how to do it myself!

Thanks for doing this, really. T-51b is my favorite armor by far, and it's really nice to be stomping around the Wasteland in it again. X-01 is ugly as all f*#@, and I'm glad to be back in my old suit.

Odd... Paintjobs all functioned normally for my T-60 swap, as the paintjob is controlled by nodes in the mesh (I even have a "custom" orange one on in the screenshots).

Do you have any mods that alter the "paintjob" system...?

Err, my mistake. I didn't mean the paintjobs you can get from the magazines. I meant the coatings and such that were usually armor-specific. I can still put the X-01 stuff on my current suit, even though it looks like the T-51b. I can't put things like the Winterized coating on it, since it's still technically X-01.

Any chance you could do this for the T-45 and T-51? I hate how the T-45 which is the older model looks more like the T-60 then the T-51.

I don't plan on doing any other versions, but you can do it yourself pretty easily - just look at the files I edited in this mod, then go find the T-45 and T-51 files in the same folder and rename them to the same names as the ones this mod uses.
