About this mod

A Vanilla-DLC small Sanctuary build ready to go with (hopefully) a smaller FPS impact than most Sanctuary blueprints. Includes Mod Enhanced versions for lived in decorations.

(Please excuse my crappiness at making videos)

I was working on a larger Sanctuary build, but I started to run into the same old problem all settlements have: FPS drop. I went from 75 down to 30. So I scrapped that project in favor of a more condensed build that still provides all the necessities. It's a low-tech build with only 2 small generators and an efficient use of space to get 30 beds without simply stacking things to make "bunk beds". Lots of scrap from around Sanctuary was moved around and included in the build to give it some life.

Updates:
  • v2.2 update - Added a version with electric interior lights instead of candle lights.
  • v2.1 - Fixed the messed up warehouse roof in the Basic and Performance versions. Now it's final.
  • v2.0 - Final versions for the Basic, Mod Enhanced, and a new Performance edition. I don't plan on anymore work on Sanctuary at this time.
  • v1.0 Mod Enhanced - New blueprint that adds decorations to shops, removes some light sources in places the player may not frequent. Added a few more outdoor light sources. This is pretty much final unless someone finds something that needs fixing.
  • v1.1 - Rotated the security door between the Minuteman compound and Power Armor bay. Moved a few little things around. Deleted duplicate workshops and plants from importing. Should work with a "scrapall" command if you were interested in seeing what the blueprint adds. Deleted the readme from the file so there isn't any NMM overwrites required.
  • v1.0 - Initial Release

Editions:
  • Basic - The original Little Sanctuary that uses the Vanilla and DLC assets. Includes the Ammo Workbench from AWKCR.

  • Performance - The original Little Sanctuary that uses the Vanilla and DLC assets minus some of the interior decoration from places the player won't really frequent. Moves a door in the residential house to block the view down the hallway. Removes the interior decoration from the second story rooms in the greenhouse residential building. Decorations were left where the player has line of site into a space the player may not frequent.

  • Mod Enhanced - Uses assets from Business Settlements, OCDectorator, and Do It Yourshelf to create a lived in settlement. This version also includes the Performance reduction of unnecessary decorations.

  • Mod Enhanced Electric Age - Same as above, with interior lights replaced with electric lights. Small generators are placed in out of the way yet logical places to feed each individual structure. Also threw a crow's nest on top of the warehouse roof that overlooks almost the entirety of Sanctuary.

Notes:
I *think* this would work well for a survival play through? It can be built at the beginning of the game but doesn't have all of the later unlocked features, 100k defense, radiation arch-thingy, etc, with the exception of the caravan tent to keep Trashcan Carla out of the settlement.  It pretty much has the same amount of scrap as the base Sanctuary does if you scrapped the items in the warehouse. Otherwise, it should work just as well for a new playthrough as a current playthrough.

I get a little FPS dip, down to about 50 from 75, with an i5 and a GTX 1070 using the Ultra HD texture pack. Still, that's a far cry better than <30 FPS.

Mod Requirements:
Transfer Settlements - Lost cause trying to use this without it.

Optional Mods:
AWKCR
- only required for the ammunition workbench in the corner of the warehouse.
Business Settlements - Adds decorations to a few places in the Mod Enhanced version.
OCDecorator - Adds decorations to a few places in the Mod Enhanced version.
Do It Yourshelf - Adds decorations to a few places in the Mod Enhanced version.
Workshop Rearranged - This only adds balcony rails to the crow's nest to the Mod Enhanced Electric Age update.

Installation Prep:
  • Please see the screenshot that tells you what to scrap.
  • Make sure you check "Import Original Items (Not Built by Player)" or you will get floating bits and an empty warehouse.
  • Check the "import mod-added items" if you use any or want the items from the Optional Mods list imported.
  • Install the Blueprint with NMM. It will install to Slot 14.

To-Do List:
  • Delete the workstations so you don't have to do it before importing. DUN.
  • Spice things up with an alternate version using Do-It Yourshelf and maybe Business Settlements. DUN.
