About this mod
Small mod add a new radio to the wasteland that plays the Heathstone Soundtrack
- Permissions and credits
this mod adds a new radio station to fallout 4 that plays the Heathstone soundtrack,
I made this mod both as a bit of a joke and to learn how to make a custom radio station that can randomly play music
I ended up liking this music in fallout, so I finished it and decided to upload it
this mod can not be downloaded though the nexus mod manager because it needs some work before you can use it, pretty simple though as I could not find info on whether I can redistribute the Heathstone sound track, so you have download it yourself and convert it to 16 bit wav
instructions can be found below
this mod may be incompatible with other custom radio mods
==Installing==
before I get into installing you are going to need to download some stuff and possibly install some programs
=Requirements=
a) Heathstone Soundtrack - https://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/media/
at the bottom of the page will be the soundtrack download the one listed as >The Hearthstone soundtracks< it should be a zip
b) some kind of un-ziping program- recommendation 7-zip - http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
c) a program that can handle audio conversation- recommendation audacity - http://www.audacityteam.org/
I) if using audacity you will need to set it up to process .mp3 files - http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame
http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/installing_and_updating_audacity_on_windows.html#winlame
I will not run though doing this but it is not difficult
=Time to get started=
this is assuming you either have the programs downloaded and setup or have other means
1. create a new folder somewhere possibly on your desktop
2. extract the Heathstone Radio zip into that folder if you have not already you should have a LOHeathstoneRadio.esp, a folder called Sound and a readme.txt
3. extract soundtrack somewhere, remember where. We are going to need it in a moment possible in the same folder as where you extracted the above,
4. go into the sound track and delete >1-01 Heroes of Warcraft (Cinematic S.mp3< and >2-07 One Last Chance.mp3<
5. create a new folder call it wav
this point on I am assuming you are using audacity otherwise use the converter of your choice
6. open audacity go File>Open and go to where you put the Heathstone soundtrack and double click the first track
7. with the file now open go File>Export Audio
8. go into the wav folder, keep the file name the same as the audio file that was opened
9. in the >save as type< drop down select >WAV(Microsoft) Signed 16bit PCM<
10. click >save< and then >ok<
repeat steps 6-10 for all the files you should end up with a wav folder that looks almost identical to the Heathstone soundtrack folder
11. find the folder you extracted Heathstone Radio into and go into its Sound-FX-MUS-aalo-Radio-Heathstone-Hearthstone_Soundtrack and keep that folder open
12. find your wav folder we created above
13. copy all the .wav files inside to Heathstone radio folder we opened above
the hardest part is now complete
14. go back to the Heathstone radio folder, and copy LOHeathstoneRadio.esp and the sound folder to your fallout 4 data folder typically located at Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data
15. enable the ESP by your chosen means whether that is Nexus Mod Manager or inside Fallout 4 itself
you now find in the radio section of your Pipboy a radio station called Heathstone Radio tune in and enjoy the music
