HIGHLY customizable, very simple BAT file you can easily edit/copy yourself!
A small text file that you place directly into your Fallout 4 folder, not the Data folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4).
Used to easily "cheat" dress your Minutemen settlers in Combat Armor (random variants, unfortunately), Minutemen Outfit and Hat. Also includes a Combat rifle and a single ammo piece of every vanilla ammo in case you want to give them other weapons, etc.
How to Install:
Simply download manually and unzip (couldn't upload plain .txt, for some reason) and place it in your main Fallout 4 folder - not the Data folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4).
How to use:
When in game, open console using the tilde key "~", select a settler and type in "bat militia" + press enter. (WARNING: Will delete any items currently in settler's inventory).
Rationale:
Turn your settlers into a true, modernized, lore-friendly Militia force!
Unfortunately you will have to modify armor pieces individually (if you want to) by trading it off your settlers and modifying it at the armor workbench.
Either that or keep hitting the BAT command on each settler until the RNG gods favour your aesthetic inclinations.
Potential Bugs:
None that I'm aware off, however certain NPC clothing might reset. To fix this, open their inventory in trade dialogue and unequip/equip all items.
You can also easily edit the text file to suit your own needs!
