Is AMD fix needed here, or is this how everything works?

Very new to Fallout 4 here, even newer to Fallout 4 modding.
This, along with many other gun mods (but not ALL of the ones I've downloaded) appear invisible and I'm not sure how to fix it.
I've narrowed down something in Vortex, where in the plugins, the mods that have the flag "Loads Archive" work perfectly fine.
This is one of those mods that is not listed as "Loads Archive" and appears invisible when spawned in.

I've tried installing it through Vortex AND manually, neither of which have worked. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!

I also see the FAQ in the sticky, and it mentions the problem of the gun being invisible, and it does provide an answer. However, the answer is a link to a website that I am unable to reach.

Anyone still uses this AUG in 2022 ?
I'm working on OAOC for this one ... the only workable AUG from 3 AUGs that i tested.

why does it crash to desktop every time I load a save game from the menu?
does it require a DLC that isn't mentioned in the description?

I'm pretty sure I have all of FX0x01's weapon mods by now. When I see one pop up I don't even think about it, I just download it. I'm yet to feel disappointed, and this one is no different!

I've got both of the 'big' Steyr Aug mods, and they're both good in their own ways. I can't fault either one over their models and textures, and if you asked me to pick which one was best in that regard, I don't think I could.

I prefer this one in general, though. It's not quite as modifiable as the other one - the lack of a flashlight is the biggest downside for me - but it feels nice. There's something about firing this weapon that I can't really explain. Perhaps moreso than any other weapon mod (maybe tied with the RU556 and the newer MK18), FX0x01's Steyr Aug feels like a precise machine. While the AKs and the SG 550s of the world feel rugged and hefty, this Steyr Aug feels like a precise, sophisticated surgical instrument. The difference between a hammer and a sword, if you like. I think the firing sound effect has a lot to do with that. I've never described a weapon like this before, but I think it's silky.

Obviously it looks great and everything too, but most of all... it's silky.

I do miss mounted flashlights when using it, but that's literally the only drawback for me!

Thanks for your opinion on the differences between them all. It helped me decide on this one. Plus it's compatible with Weaponsmith Extended.
