    BodySlide Walkthrough:
    Spoiler:
    Show

    For CBBE. Can be used for other body mods. Just use common sense to figure it out.

    1. Install BodySlide, and CBBE from the CBBE mod page. If you wish to use the in-game sliders, you will also need LooksMenu installed and the relevant files from the CBBE archive - these should be an option in the installer. If installing manually, then you need the contents of the BodySlide folders and relevant 'TRI/F4EE' folders installed.
    2. Go to Fallout 4/Data/Tools/BodySlide. Doubleclick on BodySlide.exe/BodySlide x64.exe to open the utility. Vortex users have your own way of opening BodySlide (see: Mod description, but the path is still the same).
    3. At the top, in 'Outfit/Body' select CBBE Body, CBBE Body Physics or CBBE NeverNude. These are the bodies. Everything else is an outfit.
    4. In 'Preset', select a preset, or leave it as it is and simply start moving the sliders around. You can type numbers into the boxes if you want to use negatives (put in a - before the number) or go over 100%. If you only wish to use the in-game sliders, you can skip to Step 10.
    a. (Optional) If you have a lot of outfit mods installed, and/or only want to see/build meshes for certain ones, you can use the GroupFilter and OutfitFilter options at the top to narrow down the selection. Just click on the magnifying glass, 'Choose Groups', and select what you want. Again, only what is selected will have the option to build meshes for them. Leaving these Filters alone will mean you have the option to build everything.
    5. Click on 'Preview' at the bottom to open the preview window. The mesh shape will change as you move/edit sliders. The mesh shown is what you get when the character's weight is set to the centre of the weight triangle. You can right-click-and-drag the model to rotate it, and left-click-and-drag to move it around the window without rotating. Scroll-wheel to zoom also works.
    6. Once you're happy, click on 'Save As'. 'Save' will overwrite the current preset selected.
    7. Type in a name for your preset, and check the boxes for what 'groups' you want your preset to appear in.
    8. Click Save. BodySlide will open a window to the BodySlide/SliderPresets directory. Click Save again. You preset will now appear in the 'Preset' drop-down menu.
    9. (Optional) If your aim is realism, make a second preset just for outfits/NeverNude, removing any gravity from your 'nude' preset, and applying cleavage/pushup etc. You can look at the 'Slim (Outfit)' and 'Curvy (Outfit)' for ideas to make it look realistic for both small and large breast sizes, respectively.
    10. With CBBE Body, CBBE Body Physics or CBBE NeverNude and your preset selected, click on Build. This will automatically install the body meshes. If you intend on using the in-game sliders, ensure you check the 'Build Morphs' checkbox before completing this or any following steps.
    11. With your (outfit) preset selected, click on BatchBuild. Uncheck anything you don't want built (e.g. if you did step 10 above, you don't want/need CBBE Body/CBBE NeverNude/CBBE Body Physics selected). You can right-click the box and select/de-select everything to help with this.
    12. Click Build. BodySlide will automatically install the outfit meshes into the correct directories.
    Now the outfits will be the shape of your preset, and will morph according to the in-game weight/body morph triangle. If applicable, then you will also be able to use the in-game morphs.

    MO2 user here, is there a way to get the outfits & bodies to output to overwrite folder AND see the textures at the same time? If not, what the hell is the point of virtual installs that MO2 does if I have to output to game folder like I would have for nexus mod manager?

    edit: nvm, advanced tab for output was not mentioned in guide I found for dis working in MO2 >.>

    HOW TO GET CBBE AND BODYSLIDE WORKING ON STEAM DECK:

    Install CBBE and Bodyslide via Mod Organizer 2 as usual. Follow the instructions on each mod page.

    Create a new text file on the desktop named "Fallout4Custom.ini" and input the following:

    [Archive]
    bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
    sResourceDataDirsFinal=

    This .ini file's home is Z:/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/377160/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Fallout4

    NOT THE FOLDER THAT OPENS WHEN YOU SELECT THE BROWSE LOCAL FILES OPTION IN STEAM.

    Once you do this, follow the instructions on Bodyslide to building the body. Run Bodyslide as an executable through Mo2, make sure it's pointing at Z:/home/deck/games/mod-organizer2-Fallout4/overwrite

    Once you do your build, right click "overwrite" in Mo2 and select "create mod" and name it something like "bodyslide output"

    Profit

    Is there a way to add a preset from the Super Hero Body mod?

      SHB is a BodySlide-compatible body mod, so you would add them as you would any other preset. Install, open Bodyslide, select your body and preset.

    Hey sorry feel dumb for writing this but, I accidentally deleted the presets for a specific outfit/body, and now I can't get any of them back. pretty much all of my other outfits have the presets saved and Its pretty confusing. I downloaded the mod and the slider a few times to see If I could reset It but It didn't work. Any suggestions would be super welcome. Thanks!

      Reinstall the mod the presets came from. This would be either your chosen body mod, or a separate preset you've downloaded.
      If it's a preset you created yourself, then it's gone unless you backed it up somewhere, so you'll have to recreate it.

    For the love of god someone help me. Apparently I'm a dipsh*t.

    When I want to redo all of my FEMALE BodySlide sliders I do a batch build and have to spend three hours removing all the BodyTalk items. PLEASE tell me there's a simpler way to do a full update than that.

    When I highlight them all and right click, there is no option to uncheck the highlighted selection. . . Surely that's not by design and I just failed too many special education classes as a kid.

      You can either uninstall the offending mod (and just reinstall/build as required if you do decide to use it), or during the batchbuilding process, hit the space bar after highlighting the selection to check the boxes on/off.

      I dug into the XML files of the presets themselves and found the problem. The missing XMLs are formatted incorrectly. In my case, they were missing the following line: "<Group name="CBBE"/>" underneath the <Preset name=..." line.

      The beginning part of the XML SHOULD look something like this:
      <SliderPresets>
          <Preset name="Preset Name" set="CBBE Body">
      <Group name="CBBE"/>

      In my case I am using "CBBE" body, thus the SET and GROUP names are CBBE. I hope this helps.

    Ok so I followed all the instructions and none of Vtaws wardrobes change. They change the body but pretty well themselves and then causes clipping if certain articles of clothing are put on. I used 3 pieces from wardrobe 8 and without the combat boots on the whole outfit clips really bad. Slap the combat boots on and not a clip to be seen. I'm just getting frustrated beyond belief to the point I'm about to delete it all.

    I'm having an odd issue where whenever I unequip then reequip or just change armor, the armor I am now wearing will have holes in it to see through my character as if part of the morph isn't working. I checked and made sure I had build morphs enabled, I created them for all the vanilla outfits, I'm just getting these weird see-through portions.
