Is it just me or they are different from vanilla ones? i would love to have vanilla ones to mix them with the others already in place but they are slightly larger than these ones and the walls are different too.
I was going to make them as close to vanilla as possible but the originals were never designed to be modular, and there were plenty of problems that caused. Making them the way I did opens tons of options for making interesting structures that wouldn't be possible otherwise.
this is very similar to my mod, but with some different designs. Http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17088/?
also similar to Ethreon's http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17160/?
I have not tried to do "animated door" in 3ds Max, and my door is done in NifSkope. I should try to finish in 3ds max because it looks simpler. Thank you for your tutorial!
I hope you don't feel that I've copied your work or Ethreon's (he's a friend of mine) in this mod. Long before I knew how to work on models in 3ds Max I knew I wanted to make a kit from the crates, they just seemed perfect for it and a very good project for my first Fallout 4 work.
And you're welcome! I hope the tutorial is useful, it makes doors so much simpler, I couldn't face how complex the process was going to be if I used nifskope >_<
This is a fantastic mod! You did great work with this. I've seen open shipping crates around the commonwealth and in the Homemaker Mod and thought they would make great self-contained homes, esspesialy on Spectacle Island, but was disappointed to find they couldn't be moved and weren't navmeshed respectivly. The ability to add interior and half walls and even windows is a bonus, and a nice touch. They work well with the wasteland theme and they're everywhere, why not use them?
That being said, is it possible to get a "wall" added that looks like it has been cut open in order join two crates together? To make it look like two separate crates were shoved next to each other then cut open to connect them.
I don't normally endorse mods but this deserves more attention than its currently getting. Again great job and thanks!
Thanks! Doorways are something I have in mind for an update and making a crudely cut doorway could look good.
You really should endorse mods more often, although I really appreciate that you went out of your way to endorse here. Endorsements are the quickest and easiest way to say thanks to a modder if you like their work and I know we all appreciate them. I'm not the first to have this idea as G2M said so think about checking out what G2M and Ethreon have done with crates too, maybe even drop them an endorsement?
We have Train Cargo Containers , Great but something was missing ! Container ! Fits great in Wasteland and for sure , enough are around to build with them. thank you Very much!
