It's 2023 and this mod still works perfectly. It's one of those mods you don't realize just how much you needed it until you have it, and now I can't imagine my game without it. My settlements look so much better lol thank you
Hey, great mod. one question tho: ive been using it with Concord restoration project, and when i leave the settlement and come back after a while, the power lines seem to switch off. anything connected to it turns red, but when i move an electric device or flick a switch (doesnt have to be connected to anything) it pops back on. do you think its a fault of this mod or is it the concord mod, or even the fact the wires are spread over a large distance? thank you.
nope, GCM doesnt save settings, GCM is pointless. Nothing you change persists. the mod is abandoned and the creator just marks ALL BUGS as Not A Bug and ignores it
This is not true. GCM works fine if you install it correctly. It is not abandoned. It was last updated in the summer of 2020, so is more recent that the last FO4 update (1.10.163 in Dec 2019). The mod author is active in the forum, posting as recently as four days ago at the time of writing.
Not saving selections is a known outcome of an incorrect installation of GCM, or an incorrect installation of F4SE. Maybe OP is running MO2 and did not install one or the other correctly?
GCM works fine. Everyone wishing to fine tune their game (like wanting longer power lines) should use it.
Just posting this so people that read this will be reassured even more. I just tried changing wire length is GCM to 3000. It definitely worked as I could connect the wire at a distance I could not before. I did not though attach the wire. I saved, closed the game and relanched it. After it loaded I tried to attach the same wire and it worked again and the setting in GCM was still 3000. I just have the mod installed through MO2.
it's a good enough mod, but I think I might just enter "Sets fWorkshopWireMaxLength" into my startup batch file lineup. i've not done it with this command yet so wish me luck
I replaced mortal settlers this way with a bunch of manual setessential 1 and 0 entries
Working as intended. What do you expect? Your d will be x3? this mod gives what it promises if you cannot comprehend what then you go search on other place.

What's an "ass wire?" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It also cover this and many more.
