About this mod
As the name says, this is my attempt to use the Creation Kit to set protected mode to 'Almost' all named NPC.

As the name says, this is my attempt to use the Creation Kit to set protected mode to 'Almost' all named NPC.
Why? Because I use the mod ‘War of the Commonwealth’ and EVERYONE DIES!!!!! So this is going to make it so that i do not have to worry about the quests being ruined time and time again.
Because I am tired of not being able to do a quest, just because the quest giver died from a random spawn attack; I am tired of having named NPC that i want to kill found dead and robbing me of this satisfaction.
This mod was made because the existing mods out there are missing protection to most Named NPCs and also had other changes to the game that I did not like.
NOTE: THIS DOES NOT FIX ISSUES WITH EXISTING SAVES THAT HAD DEAD NPC BEFORE. NO THERE IS NO WAY TO FIX THAT, UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO CLEAN YOUR SAVE OF ANY SCRIPT FOR THAT NPC AND ITS RELATED QUESTS

Now as far as details go: listed in the order I think is important
- Cleaned with FO4Edit
- I have also Added protection to most unique Named Raiders and Spawns so that you can kill them but not others.
- Screenshots are the best you are going to get for a list. (Updated as I make changes). Feel free to ask for NPCs that are missing, or point out any that are not really NPCs, as this will help me to clean and make this mod better faster and with less testing needed.
- No, I did not change the status of NPCs that are already listed as protected or Essential. But, I will do that at a later time. Why? Because this mod simply adds protection to NPC that did not have it….(Example: Barney In Salem that ALWAYS dies from the Hunter Mirelurk that spits acid….. STUPID BAZZ)
- Yes this mod conflicts with others that do the same thing; Load My mod first and all others after.
- After Careful consideration I have decided that I would not remove protection from some quest NPCs that die base on your conversation choices. Example the brother Kyle in Diamond city, if you want him killed by the guards just disable the mod for that moment; or kill him yourself. It is free experience anyway.
Add optional Version that does not have protections for any non quest characters. (VERY-LOW Priority)
So far it has worked with many different NPCs that I have found. I have mostly just used the console command 'Killall' to test it since that is the same thing as spawning a bunch of raiders or deathclaws. So far I am satisfied with the results.
- Berney did not die no matter how long i let the lurks attack him, and the killall command did not kill him either... but the lurks exploded nicely.... love the bloodymess perk! LOL.
- Merchants and a few other npcs in diamond city lived through the chaos of my testing.
- Key quest and unique raiders also working as intended. AK-AK, Rusty, and a few others would not die unless the player attacks them.

Here are a few mods that do similar things but also contained edits that change more than the protected/essential status in the game.
(Some Changes happen automatically; even with the CK, unknown why. Any changes listed below can be fixed/removed with FO4EDIT; should you so choose to do so.)
All mods seem to have AIDT - AI Data changes and Morph data changes; mostly listed order but some have different values.
- NPCs Protected Not Essential by Keydtra (By Far the best mod if you want to remove essential status but still keep NPC that are not protected, as such)
- No Essential Npcs by Abbalovesyou (Makes all things killable. You will break many quests because of random spawn in or near towns. Not Advised for anyone that wants to play the game and do the quests.)
** My mod only contains the odd AIDT - AI Data and Morph data changes
I recommend that you use my mod and NPCs Protected Not Essential by Keydtra if you want the ability to kill things yourself but not allow random enemies cause issues.
