About this mod
If you find yourself lacking in wood when attempting to build your settlements then this might be for you

What this mod does
It increases the amount of wood you accumulate, in an immersive and passive way, using the most mod-compatible methods I could think of, by adjusting the following...
- Altered loot tables of office furniture (file cabinets, desks, etc) to add more pencils, clipboards and in some cases, photo frames.
- Altered loot tables of various toolboxes to give a higher chance to get hammers, screwdrivers, paintbrushes, etc.
- Altered loot tables of suitcases to sometimes include picture frames or toy cars.
- Halfed the value of wood, so vendor-bought shipments now cost half as much caps.
- Increased the amount of wood you receive when scrapping trees in settlements (by approximately 5x)
Why I made this mod
I love to build big sprawling settlements using all the mods we enjoy on the glorious PC. However I don't always like to scrap all the trees on new settlements as I like the nature! If I do decide to scrap a tree, then I feel that I should get a lot more wood back than a measely 20-30. I also (perhaps as a result of my unwillingness to scrap every piece of wood in the settlement) felt that the amount of wood items in the game were quite scarce.
I'm a MASSIVE looter, everywhere I go I pick the places clean, yet somehow I still end up having to buy shipment after shipment of wood. To me this just felt completely off, so here we are.
DISCLAIMER
Use this at your own risk. I have not tested this fully for balance, I have just recently created it and will be using it in my current playthrough, I may adjust the values if I notice my character accumulating a sheer abundance of wood.
Compatibility
I have not tested this mod with Fallout v1.9 as I don't use it (it has nothing in it that I need and I won't take the risk of breaking my mods for nothing). This mod has been made for v1.8.7. With that said, based on the patch notes, there is no reason for me to believe that it will be incompatible.
As I have altered the loot tables for various containers, this will most likely cause compatibility problems with other mods that do the same. Making changes to loot tables seems to be the most efficient way of achieving what I want to do while also keeping it compatible with most major mods.
If you encounter any compatibility problems then feel free to make me aware of it, but I can not guarantee that I will (be able to) do anything about it! I am also open to feedback on how to improve the mod, however I am not a modder, I just downloaded the creation kit to try to hash something together to help me with my wood problems, so my skills are highly limited.
