Not sure if anyone can help me with but I am having trouble finding the CF Beacon and CF Config Holotape on my Utility category in my Chemisty Station. I don't suppose I am missing something or no? Because I had working once when I 1st installed this but right now I am having issues
You can do it with FO4Edit, but the way I understand it, you then have to set the follower type again (even if it's the same), because that actually creates a copy from the template you'd be editing in FO4Edit. I also made it so the beacons aren't free to craft, which makes it kinda interesting for survival, as in, you can "buy" meat shields, or you can equip them, but then they will still die sooner or later (since they don't heal), and you have to haul their equipment back or lose it.
I know this is quite old, but i've noticed it's been asked multiple times. If you are looking for armies of temps, I would highly recommend using the mod "Endless Warfare". It comes with a lot of additional features, but all of them are turned off by default. One of those functions though is the ability to instantly spawn in units, and includes a lot of various settings for them aswell. You can set them individually as essential/protected/nonessential, even change their SPECIAL, or just let them be as they come (random gen with their own equipment etc). You can additionally set up a timer for auto-respawning for them after they die, so if you wish for example to have a squad of 6 units that when one dies you want it to respawn after 10 minutes, you can do that (it won't duplicate, it will spawn in an entirely new generated unit, so if you've equipped them with anything you don't want to lose when they die, be sure to loot their bodies..).
You can give them all the same orders as normal followers aswell. It's an amazing mod for follower customization, even if you only use it for that. Though the additional enemy spawn settings are pretty wild and you can set up some great endless combat mayhem and dangers on your travels if you dig pretty deep into it.
I absolutely love both that mod and this one as the beacon function of this mod is incredible for setting patrols and guards, and ease of "putting away" groups of followers, or even assigning followers to other friendly npcs.
I love this mod. I use it almost all the time. The only downside is that infinite ammo mods for companions don't work with this mod since they don't count as actual companions. It'd be handy if there was a way to enable that for your companions. Because for example, I use the CROSS Fireworks Cannon and I'm tired of having to craft thousands of ammo for my companions instead of just needing a single missile for them. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this mod to other people. Obviously, you do need a pretty beefy PC to make a lot of followers. I use this mod on Xbox so unfortunately, it doesn't handle this mod all too well when there's a bunch of followers with me.
And you can even daisy chain them! Or make a loop of say, 5, and then they just run after enemies and then regroup wherever combat ends, until they chase after enemies again ^^
how do I get my followers to not attack the institute? I'm getting tired of having to disable combat just to not have them kill the people i'm working with
