Amazing work as always! Would you be able to work some magic with the Wastelander's XM2076? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20868 The gun + animations are great, but the textures are a little too new looking. Thanks for your work with these textures.
What version did you make the textures for? They don't work with 1.2, I would use the 1.1 but I deleted it and I can't install the textures manually cause 1.2 is in batch files. could you update it
As someone who restores and refinishes firearms, I can tell you that is a terrible representation of how the metal would weather. You'd do better giving it that light grey colour overall, with the edges worn to a dull shine. No gunmetal will wear cloudy and spotty all over the gun like that, and especially not in the same way universally across the weapon.
You did amazing on the USP and 9x39, but this and your AK have the same issue
I'm not a expert in how a gun get old but I think it's a lot based on various factors like the maintenance, the place and it weather conditions. However I never claimed to make a realistic depictation of weathered guns.
Anyway a 1 min google research gave me those results that tend to give you wrong about non uniformity of rust on a gun:
Spoiler:

And so on but in other hand there is multiple examples of what you said like this one but It's not what I want to do.

well the front portion (barrel and upper receiver) already had a 'spotty' weathering to it in the original textures, while the rest was actually flawlessly clean. also I think this is supposed to be not only worn but dirty.
