About this mod

Want a different Dogmeat Breed for each of your Characters? Now you can. No overwriting the default Dogmeat design. No messy manual texture/mesh swapping every time you want a different dog. Just craft your favorite skin at the Chemistry bench, equip it on Dogmeat, and you're good to go.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Tired of the same old brown German Sheppard Dogmeat? Want to change his breed but don't want to override the default version, causing him to change across all your savecodes? Now you can! With this mod you can craft Dogmeat "skins" at any Chemistry Lab then equip them on Dogmeat, changing his body texture/mesh without overriding the default design. Since the skins are just equippable items you can also freely have a different Dogmeat design for all your Fallout 4 characters without having to manually swap out mod files every time you do a character switch.

FEATURES:
==============

- 23 Different Dogmeat Skins from 4 different authors (used with permission)
- Toggle the German Sheppard skins ear style at any Armor Mod Bench as well as an alternate body style for the raider dog skins (Created by MissMorose.)

FAQ:
=======

Q: Are there any stat effects for equipping Dogmeat with the skins?
A: No. The skins have no stats or weight to them.

Q: What crafting mats are required to make/mod a skin?
A: None. They can be crafted and modded for free.

Q: Where are all the Okami/Mongrel designs? I only see one type of each on the crafting menu.
A: The alternate designs for those 2 skins are armor mods. Craft one and take it to an Armor Mod Workbench to apply the alternate designs.

Q: Can you add cat / super mutant dog / gorilla / etc skins?
A: Unfortunately this mod cannot replace animation data, so non-dog animal models will not work right (the super mutant dogs don't work either). Sorry :(

Q: Can you add in the Dogmeat skins made by <insert modder's name>?
A: Maybe later, but I won't add any I can't get permission from the original author first. If I do it will likely come in the form of expansion mods, since the default file size is already a bit bloated.

Q: Can you create a XBox1/PS4 version?
A: I own neither of those consoles, so I have no idea how to do that. Normally I would allow other modders to port my mod to the consoles, however since this mod contains assets created by other people I can't give permission to do that. Sorry.

Q: The mod keeps telling me I need "ArmorKeywords.esm" and won't work.
A: Download the optional file patch and install it.

KNOWN ISSUES:
================

- The skins don't make any sound when they are crafted. This is a minor bug caused by making them not require any mats.
- The glowing mod options for the Mongrel skin can look a bit odd under certain lighting. This is just the way Bethesda made them :P
