Before the event known as the 'Quincy Massacre', the Minutemen were thriving in the golden age of peace and prosperity. Led by the highly respected General Becker, the Minutemen have kept the Commonwealh safe and peaceful for decades to come. At his side as the first officer and the most prominent battle commander was his wife, Eleanor. A kind woman with a tender heart full of nobility, she became the Minutemen's battle commander when the General got wounded in combat many years ago, partially paralyzing his right leg.

Despite the General not stepping onto the field anymore, they secured the Commonwealth from the raider gangs of the Commonwealth and Nuka-World, causing them to be highly loved by the people of the Commonwealth and highly hated by their enemies, most notably by a woman named Snips, the leader of a faction known as The Reapers.

Years of war between the Minutemen and Snips caused lots of hate on both sides and multiple assassination attempts on the General himself. Finally, in the year of 2280, General Becker's plan ultimately brought the downfall of Snips and her faction. The Minutemen reveled and celebrated because their biggest threat finally extinguished for good, but it was short lived.

Snips' daugther by the name of Nisha, who was stolen from Snips when she was only one years old, found out the identity of her real parents and killed the raider known as Sledge. Finally learning the truth, she wanted to reunite with her mother, but it was not meant to be. General Becker and his wife Eleanor caused the downfall of Snips and her faction known as The Reapers. Burning for hatred and revenge, Nisha swore to exact revenge upon the murderers of her mother and she did just that. 1 year after her mother's death, Eleanor's group was ambushed. The survivors were butchered and used as decoration for the Disciples' base, while Eleanor was captured alive and kept in the same cage where so many of her friends were carved up.



Nisha, finally satisfied she caught the general's little bird, delivered with great satisfaction and pleasure every punch, cut and bruise. Eleanor's body became like a canvas for her art. 6 months of every day torture disfigured Eleanor to such extent that her right eye socket got smashed in and most of her teeth knocked out. She was no longer physically recognizable as the general's wife. One of the most honorable human beings among the Minutemen was now reduced to a torture plaything for Nisha.

After months of torture, the day has come where Nisha revealed why she kept Eleanor alive for so long. She was going to use Eleanor as a double-agent to murder General Becker. The ultimate revenge in which a wife unwillingly kills her husband. Nisha tortured Eleanor to break her physically and mentally in order to perform a brainwash. However, months of torture started to take its toll on her.



Exhaustion, bruises, wounds and the constant pain sent Eleanor into a mass-dementia. Once a beloved wife and people's hero was no longer mentally alive. This infuriated Nisha and forced her to adjust her plans. Still wanting to proceed with her original plan, she made contact with the Dust Devils, who sent over their robotics expert in exchange for knowledge, resources and test subjects. In order for Nisha to fulfill her revenge, she needed Eleanor and since Eleanor was no longer mentally there, they needed to find a way to bring her back.

The scientist from the Dust Devils proposed to use her body and brain and merge them with an artificial intelligence, which in return will cause the brain function to return to normal, but the operation would be permanent and the cybernetic parts from an Assaultron would enhance her in so many ways, but hinder in others. The Dust Devils still haven't cracked how the Robobrains work, so he advised a simpler robot for the procedure, an assaultron.



Nisha did not care what happens to Eleanor after her husband is dead, so she agreed with the scientist. They strapped her onto a gurney and started cutting her into pieces. In order for the merge between a human body and an assaultron to be successful, Eleanor first needed to be cybernetically enhanced. Nisha cut off her limbs and other parts so that the scientist could integrate the cybernetics. Once the body was reinforced, they took her dismembered body parts and placed them on top of the cybernetics before placing them inside a rusty Assaultron.



The operation was now finished and the bond between organic and non-organic components began a healing process. Her mind was starting to recover and her body became enhanced, but she was no longer human by our definition. Seeing the immediate changes, she was shackled into a specially created chair that the scientist made for this operation. After the operation which lasted for 2 days, Eleanor woke up only to find herself trapped inside a body of an assaultron.



Nisha who was rejoiced that her little pet was awake, decided to play a bit more with her before proceeding with the final stage of the operation so she bent over to Eleanor and took off the metal plates covering her torso. Seeing her own heart and lungs beat inside glass tubes caused Eleanor to hyperventilate from stress and fear. Nisha took a lot of satisfaction in it and ordered the scientist to proceed with the final stage.



Eleanor now shaking and frightened beyond all limits, yelled out; "What have you done to me?! PLEASE STOP! I BEG YOU! PLEASE!!!" . Nisha responded; "Oh little bird, use these few minutes to think about your happy little life, because after this little chair finishes its job, you'll  personally see to your husband's death". It took 10 minutes for the chair to merge Eleanor's consciousness and the assaultron's AI. Eleanor was now gone and infront of Nisha was an obedient human-assaultron cyborg abiding her every command due to the assaultron control chip placed inside her skull. Nisha glanced over her ultimate revenge against Eleanor with joy. The general's wife was now a slave to her every command, but she did not revel in it for too long. Because Eleanor was no longer alive, Nisha called her new pet "Assaultroness" and ordered her to assassinate General Becker, the leader of the Minutemen.

In the year of 2282, General Becker died. Nobody knew exactly why because it came suddenly out of nowhere, but everyone assumed it was a natural death. The aftermath of General's death caused the ultimate downfall of the Minutemen and the event of Quincy Massacre, where the last Minutemen betrayed eachother. Nisha was overly satisfied because not only she brought down the most powerful man in the Commonwealth, but she also destroyed his entire faction and turned his wife into her brainwashed slave. Seeing the Assaultroness as the final remnant of a bygone era, she fried her circuitry and left her in a junkyard to decompose and be left forgotten. The Minutemen were dead and the Commonwealth was for the taking.



5 years have passed and Raiders have taken over the Commonwealth, but one thing out of all that still survived. Despite her circuitry being fried, the Assaultroness' organic parts integrated with the non-organic ones due to the exposure to radiation storms, causing her own body to regenerate non-organic tissue. Eventually her mechanical body auto-repaired itself and she was once more functioning. However, she was only a mindless drone now without any purpose. Seeing how she has no prime directives to follow, she just stood there in stand-by mode for weeks until a scavenger that worked for the Railroad found her.

Seeing how they've never seen a cross between a human and an assaultron, they sent her to Doctor Amari in Goodneighbour, considering it is a great place where all freaks are welcome.



Doctor Amari took great interest in restoring the person inside the machine, but in order to do that, she needed proper technology to do so. Analyzing the brain patterns and the various components of the Assaultroness inspired the invention of the Memory Lounger, which she used to restore the damaged brain and connect the pieces. As she was witnessing the memories from this assaultron while at the same time restoring the brain functions, she was shocked to realize this was General Becker's wife. Seeing everything that Nisha did to her and what she made her do, Doctor Amari decided it was best to manipulate those 7 years of torture and create a new identity for her. The hero of the Commonwealth should not have to live in such a tragedy. She did however leave certain natural instincts and emotions against raiders and Nisha in particular.

Eleanor's identity was now truly gone and infront of her was standing a confused girl with lots of questions, trapped inside an assaultron body. Amari did manage to help re-integrate her into the society. She even disassembled her entire head implant, so Eleanor could wear it as a protective helmet should she desire.



It took a couple of months for the Assaultroness to adjust to the new way of life and restore her human characteristics, but she will never be the same. The automatron AI will always be merged with her own consciousness. Due to her natural instincts which Doctor Amari left inside her, the Assaultroness came across a lot of raiders during her travels across the Commonwealth and easily dispatched them without any difficulty, but such situations always conjured some weird feeling as if she's been doing this her whole life. Who was she ? Why can't she remember anything ? Why does she have a feeling she had a whole other life ?

She ventured out to find answers in the distant lands of Far Harbor where there are rumors of someone similar to her who could help. Where is the Assaultroness today ? Rumors talk about a robotic angel in Far Harbor, going against raiders and vile creatures alike... a hero of the people.
