First things first! I've brought Modcast back with my fellow mod author Kris Takahashi, author of Interesting NPCs and Tales From The Commonwealth. Modcast is a series where we sit down and get to know your favourite mod authors. This week we talk to one of the creators of Beyond Skyrim, who details the trials and tribulations that went into the mod.
Regarding the mod - no updates started yet, but if you have *any* questions, suggestions, bugs or insults come to my discord. That way I can respond to you quicker!
yall when you enter the yangtze go down the stairs on the right and infront of you there is a room that looks like it has sound proofing pads enter it and on the console to your right that is exactly where it should be
I think you're mixing up your left and right...in my game, I go down the left stairs and there is a small ante room with the suit on top of some electronic equipment on the *left*
To reiterate; go down left stairs behind Zao, small room to the left, up on top of electronic equipment on the left.
I'm having an issue with the suit going in and out of existance. I put it in a storage container until I had the perks to upgrade it, but when I went and picked it up again, it would be unselectable in the pip-boy, can't select it in the Armor crafting station and flickers on/off constantly when attempting to interact with it in pip-boy. I tried dropping it and it would fall and then suddenly disappear, only to be back in my inventory. Sometimes it isn't visible in pip-boy at all.
I've since tried putting it on a mannequin, and it actually transferred after several tries and rebooting of game but when I interact with the mannequin again, the suit is selected along with, "Battlemaster Suit" (the mod?).
Any idea what is causing this? I should mention that I also have the Creation Chinese Stealth Suit, but was unhappy with that, hence came here to use this one.
Your mod's not working. It is not in the location you claim it to be. I had to search for it in the command console to find it. Even then, I can't even use it at the armor workbench. Put some information out there for us, because half of us are clueless of what to do.
When you enter the Yangtze, Capt. Zao is straight ahead. After talking to him, go down the left stairway, in the next room there is a small ante room to the left, and on top of the electronic equipment on the left is the suit.
What's the difference between this suit and the one from the creation club? Honest question. Is it the extra features this suit has or does the creation club have the same?
Check out the CSS Overhaul. Oh right, sorry, what FJJF3231 said above. The main thing that the Overhaul does is to fix the body slide files and the Wasteland outfit. I just added that mod today, but I have been using the original file found here for several years with a vanilla body w/o problems.
How exactly is this supposed to work? I've downloaded this a year ago and have just now downloaded it again still have the same problem of it not showing up in BodySlide but there is a scale on top of the preview window but i don't know what it does or changes
okayyyyyyyyyy.......this is kinda embarrsing (no, I refuse, because it is still ambigious and misleading). You can find the chinese stealth suit in the body slide, where the preview shows nothing, with a weird-ass slide ranging from 0 to 100 blah blah. The s#*! here is that there are another bunch of suit (outfit/body) simply labeled as stealthsuitbase2.0 (and other variations, like First person POV etc.), and those are fully operational, when it is selected it WILL show a preview of the suit (without the weird slide stuff) and WILL change your ingame character apperance (of course, you need to wear it to see the effect) I just happen to stump on it when browsing the batch build selection, it is right above the chinese stealth suit option (i think, it won't be that far any way) I have downloaded the vanila file, CBBE support and overhaul, and this process happens after all of which have been installed.
I can build the body, (stealthsuitbase 2.0), including the installation of CBBE support and the CSS Overhaul. But, the physics are all wrong ingame, basically jigglebones like chest and back will missbehave horribly. Did I do something wrong?
I think I've figured it out. The actual shape data for the stealth suit doesn't seem to exist in the files, at least for me. The file path is Fallout 4/Data/Tools/Bodyslide/ShapeData/CSS/CSS.nif. However, when checking the actual files, the CSS folder, nor its respective nif file was actually present. I think that's why the CBBE version of the suit probably isn't working, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
How I can get this suit? Judging by the description, I need to look for it somewhere on a submarine, but no matter how much I fiddled there, I did not find anything. Can someone suggest where to look, pleses?
Okay, so I found a fix if your stealth field upgrades aren't working. -Open armor workbench -Equip the "No stealth field" upgrade -Exit workbench, crouch around for a bit -Go back into the workbench -Equip Electron stealth field (the cheapest one) -Exit workbench, crouch around some more
It should be working again. If nothing else, move it down in your load order, in case something else is overwriting it.
