I'm open to adding one or two more varieties of containers so if anyone feels like there's one that they can't live without, please let me know in the comments. I'd request that these be containers that are available in the base game (vs. DLC or mod added.)
EDIT: I think the ammo-box is a great suggestion - will add it soon.
Just a note for anyone doing this in 2025 or later. This mod didn't work! It never showed up in any build menu, so I couldn't create the storage boxes.
I ended up trying Provisioner Supply Containers by Petce, and while it did appear in the build menu, the items were locked behind the "local leader" perk. So finally I tried Linked Cloud Storage Containers by draco1122 and THAT one just worked.
If anyone has tips for making this mod work (or can even say exactly how you build the boxes so I can try to reproduce that), please do let me know. Thanks!
I don't know if you're still updating this mod but I was wondering if it would be possible to add a linked storage container that uses the conveyor storage container model. Basically I'm looking for a way to have items automatically get stored in the linked container while I'm in the area such as If I have a vacuum hopper pullling items out of the container connected to the settlement tidy bot mod. Then when I go to central storage area settlement I could place the linked container and have a vacuum hopper pull all the items out so that they can then be separated, stored, scrapped, and so on.
I am currently adding a 'lock' ability to the chests - I was never able to determine if settlers could steal from them, because I put them in inaccessible places, but I'd rather have them where they are more convenient for me (instead on rooftops LOL). I am not even sure if it will work - this mod works with scripts, doesn't it? Looking at it in FO4Edit I don't even see how its possible (there is only ONE 'master container'). How are you getting four different inventories in one chest? Anyhow, I was hoping to add 1-2 more containers, but I don't know scripting, so I guess I am out-of-luck, huh? I also doubt you're still around. Regardless, thanks for this mod. I have been using it for awhile and its perfect for my needs. Cheers
Best mod I ever installed. However, I am here right now because I'd still like to have more options with my storage, because digging through a thousand different outfits to get to my 'headgear' section (using an item-sorter) is NOT fun. LOL
This is wonderful. Each settlement has a box for the collectable items, decorative junk, and crafting components I'll need later. No more playing pack mule when starting a new settlement or scouring the Commonwealth trying to find where I left something. Everything goes in it's designated container and is just where I need it.
This mod is a lifesaver, thank you so much. You have another Endorsement and Vote.
While I'm still fine with using the one big steamer trunk for everything, since one container can functionally serve all roles by using inventory sorting; it would be nice to have different kinds of containers for flavour reasons.
You bet, Ammo Box is a brilliant next step. Others have suggested wall-mounted first-aid kits which would be excellent. I'm doing a run where I actually collect tools for Vault 81, so a convenient Linked Toolbox would be great as well.
Again, thank you so much. I haven't run into any issues so far and I imagine the way the engine works the only issues I'll have will be when I have stuffed the approximate mass of a small planet in one chest, which won't be your fault. :D

Just the other day I found a settler walking around with 29 miniguns... I was wondering where those went. LOL
Thank you 4 making n sharing this mod

Great place to stash settlement setup necessities, or for making sure those 'once in a while' heavy weapons are accessible when you need them.
