About this mod

Lets you retexture Pip-Boys worn by Vault 81 residents

Permissions and credits
There are so many Pip-Boy retextures, but they replace all pipboys, including those used by Vault 81 dwellers. I wanted V81 residents to wear blue PipBoys, but I didn't want my character to use a blue one, cause I've spent most of my game wearing army fatigues (Strenght and Agility +1) with camo patterns. So I made this little mod for myself, but I thought I could share it, cause I noticed pipboy mods include faction variants so there might be more people who would find it useful. If it doesn't work as it should, please let me know in the comments.

How this mod works:

I've edited a mesh file to make it use textures from V81 subfolder.
1. Extract the files to your ...\Data folder. The archive contains 1 mesh (NIF) file and a folder with 17 DDS files, most of them are default textures, except PipBoy01_d.dds and PipBoy02_d.dds, which I took from Vault-Tec Pip-Boy mod. Why this one? Because it's blue and you can easily see the difference.
2. Now Vault 81 dwellers should be equiped with blue pipboys, while your character is still wearing a default one (with a default texture, unless you're already using an alternate version)
3. To replace your default pipboy texture with anything you want, just normally extract the archive to your Data folder like you probably did many times before. Nothing's changed.
4. But if you want to replace Vault 81 blue Pipboy, you can download any retexture of your choosing, but this time you have to extract contents (most mods include from 2 to 7 DDS files) of Textures\animobjects\pipboy into Textures\animobjects\pipboy\V81 subfolder (instead of Textures\animobjects\pipboy). There should be already 17 files in this folder, so some of them have to be overwritten.
4. After this, make sure all 17 files are in V81 folder. If any texture is missing, it won't be replaced by the game with a default one from the game archive, cause there's no pipboy\V81 subfolder in the archive.
5. Run the game and see if it works.

To uninstall the mod, remove Data\Meshes\Pipboy\CharacterAssets\PipboyLowVault81.nif file and Textures\animobjects\pipboy\V81 folder
