Hi all! A lot of you asked for a tutorial to build your own holserted weapons and well, here it is. I tried my best to make it as comprehensible as possible but it certainly isn't perfect and also no guarantee for success. I am no expert, just a hobby modder.
And with this I consider this mod as "finished". No more updates planned, just maintenance. The release of ME Andromeda isn't far away and with it comes my "vacation" from modding. If you have questions regarding the mod or tuturial, feel free to use the comment section. If you have requests for new weapons and especially for custom mod weapons, you could give it a try yourself now or ask the authors of your custom weapons for a holster model.

Do you want all the fun? Then you need registrator2000 awesome mod Visible Weapons - 3rd Person Holster for this mod to work with and you can holster your favorite weapons like you did in FO NV. Almost at least, for there are limitations (for now) in how to display all the modifications you can add on a weapon. Easy, simple and save to use - please check registrators page for more informations and how to use in your game.
So what does it means, DLC or original mod is needed? This mod only adds meshes, you need the original mod or DLC for the textures. So yes, it is NEEDED for the mod to work.
Please do not report a "bug" if you get crashes in the chem menu and run my mod without the neccessary mods and DLCs. And - and this goes for for all mods you're planning to install - do a BackUp Save before you test the mod(s).
If you don't have the DLCs and/or don't like the custom weapons but want to use the mod nonetheless - you can add the apparel weapons via console (veryfied by me and a user who did that with my former version). Do not use the "visible weapons" chem menu. Type
help "Acc -" 4 (with the quotes and spacing between c and -)
You'll get a list of all apparel weapons and then you can add them to your inventory (do not try it with weapons of a mod or DLC you don't run)
About weapon requests. This mod is mostly done for all sorts of vanilla weapons because I like them. All the custom weapons I like (so far) are included in this mod. So if you want to see a mod weapon, you certainly can make a request and I will take a look at it. No promise made - if I don't like it, I won't do it. But feel free to take a look at Zalteredbeastz Hosters and Sheaths mod. He has already done a lot of the popular custom weapons and also some knife sheaths and gun holsters.
And if you would like to see a different modification of a vanilla weapon, you can make a request, too. If I can find the time I probably will do and include it in an update - if there is any interest in a mod like this.

The long awaited Baseball Bats can be placed on left or right shoulder. You can also change the color of the bat in the armor workbench. All colors available except the unique bats.
The gun holster fits for all normal guns. You can also craft a gun holster for the 10mm pistol, it looks a bit weird from the side but it's the best I can do. All straps might clip depending on body model and/or armor.
I also included the Cait Bandolier as a separate piece so you could use it as rifle holster. BodySlide data also included to adjust it to your prefered body type - both male and female. If I can find a way to change the gun holster to work properly with BodySlide I will make an small update for it.
The Gamma Gun... I placed it at the leg. The small dish works - somehow. The big dish will clip into your leg. If you don't like the positioning you can always try to correct it yourself in Outfit Studio (that goes for all weapons and gun holsters).
With this update I should have covered most of the vanilla weapons. So no more major update (and to be honest - I can't stand these weapon meshes anymore...). What I probably will do is a tutorial how to make hostered weapons for all the adventurous or patient (best both) types of you.
For the benefit of future lazy bastards who can't read:
To find out where the weapon apparels can be crafted at, navigate to description page, look for the first line after the "Attention" -notice and you'll have your answer... You lazy bastards.
Alternatively, since it's an apparent pattern with 'you people' who bother to read nothing, yet bother to write up everything, once you're at the description page, push CTRL+F and type "craft" (since you love typing so much) in the search field (w/o the quotes!!!!!!!! *TEARING OUT HAIR*), I like to use "highlight all" and then just start going through the highlighted results and you'll eventually find a line that talks about crafting these AND you'll barely have read anything!!!

I've been using this mod for a long time, mostly along with Horizon and it works wonders. I have a patch I made myself, which edits all the slots on the weapons and categorizes them. With my patch you can use all armor, up to six weapons holstered and easily move them in outfit studio to fit the character. I'm currently working on adding the rest of the vanilla weapons and then weapons that Horizon adds, but if there still are some people using this mod would this be of any interest? I will ofc make two versions, one for horizon and one without.
Would this conflict with Canteens of the Commonweath? It states on there: Compatible with mods that edit only one or two (and not all three) of these armor slots. (slot 54-55-56) I see you have an option for slot 61, as I want my Tenpenny Axes to show up too, but also the canteens. Thx for all the work you've done on this mod.
