getting that weird blackface bug on this preset, already using the fix for the HD patch and it's only happening on this preset, I have all the required files and tried all 3 versions
I have all the necessary mods installed and run the game using F4SE. The only mod I'm missing is the Misc Hairstyles due to not finding a download option anywhere on the linked page. However, the preset turns out far worse than just having the wrong hairstyle. What am I doing wrong?
It looks like you forgot to install the Valkyr Female Face Textures, i can see on your image the preset is working, but the required face meshes and textures are missing. If you already installed Valkyr, then you can try an older Version of Valkyr.
You can download the Misc Hairstyles, by follow the link-> click on "Download Version 1.6" on the top->scroll down underneath the images-> click on "download" next to MiscHairstyle 1.6
For some reason I can't find the face as a preset when I start the game...foreknowledge, I have barely started using mods for fallout 4 but have some experience with skyrim modding, managed to get the right body selected from the bodyslide program and it looks right in the game, clothing replacers and everything are working correctly (aside from an issue with trying to build with the chinese stealth suit cbbe supported one) but everytime I try something different or look something up, I'm left in the dust and I have no idea what I'm doing. Been at this now for about 4 hours and nothing besides some rads and a couple things of psychomentat scars , will update if I can get it figured out. ============================================================================================= Update: Alright I managed to get it all working right now, thank you Saikusa1 for your help, it was greatly appreciated. Side note, I'm not really sure but versions 2 and 3 didn't really do it for me so I went with version 1 and I like how she turned out. Great preset
Did you installed all required Mods and Fallout4 Scrip Extender and started the game with it? Or does the preset just dont pop up in Looksmenu? <-- Then check this order(steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets) if the preset is in there.

It is very simple to create a looksmenu preset ingame(but can be punishing if you accidentally click wrong).
-First you need to do is open up your console and type "slm 14". -Now you can change your characters appereance as you like to. -To save the look in looksmenu you have to press "R" and then "X" --> type in your preset-name and done! -You can see the new preset appears on the right side in the menu. (Dont click there if you want to save, its just 4 choosing existing presets!!)
Finally you can find your presets in the order ...Fallout4/Data/F4SE/Plugins/F4EE/Presets

But to do so you need to follow a few steps:
1. Make sure you don't have an active .esp that overrides the companion you want to change!!
2. If you have an active .esp: deactivate the mod--> load game-->save game without the mod
3. Now you can "slm" the vanilla companion and choose the Erin Moriarty preset(by pressing R)-->done! (thanks to Looksmenu)
You are able to add Make-up and face paint but sadly it will disappear on the companion after you exit the game...
