This mod is made in memory of Blu377's dog named 'Pups' who passed away a week ago.
He got that name because he always looked like a puppy and had a daft look in his eyes.
This is a re-texture of the Raider Dog to look similar to Pups. The Raider Dog originally comes full of scars and wounds, not to mention visible ribs and spine to simulate as if the dog was underfed. My re-texture removes all visible scars and visible bones, so that the dog looks healthy and properly fed, while adding unique features of Pups.
If you want to have Pups as a companion, I suggest you use Dogmeat Replacer which I just released and use the Raider Dog replacer for Dogmeat.
Q: Why did you make this ?
A: Because Blu377's story made me all teary. Blu377 posted a comment on my mod about how their dog passed away a week ago and how the Raider Dog reminds him of Pups. I'm not a dog person myself, but I do understand and respect the amount of loyalty, love and the unbreakable bond between a dog and its family.
Dogs are one of the purest animals that we have the privilege to share this planet with and I get all emotional whenever there's a tragic story that involves them. It's not even my pet and my eyes are all teary as I am writing this. Therefore I asked Blu if he'd want me to re-texture the Raider Dog to look like Pups and he said yes, thus this mod was made.
