About this mod

Yet another Def_UI preset. Enjoy it. Or don't. I'm not your mom.

Not really sure if I should label this as a normal mod or a translation of a mod...

Anywho, this is my Def_UI preset. To be quite honest, I'm mostly just uploading this here because I've been testing mods a lot lately and I keep having to remake my preset, which is annoying, though it has allowed me to get it exactly how I want it. I could just back it up, of course, which I have done, but I always end up tweaking it and then forgetting to back up the new version anyway.

This preset is for 16x9 monitors, and I game @ 1080p on a 23" LED panel, so I make no promises as to it fitting your particular display. WYSIWYG.

In general, I didn't want to lose any important information when making this preset. Everything that I consider important is there, such as the compass, HP/AP bars, the message box (which is very important for survival players who don't want to look in their pipboy after every drink to see if they're still dehydrated...), etc.

Things that are hidden: N/S/E/W indicators on the bottom of the compass, the the crosshair, HP/AP labels, the flashlight indicator (if you can't see whether or not your flash light is on, you're probably blind and the lack of an icon is the least of your worries), and the fatigue icon (because it doesn't have a numerical value and you can see how fatigued you are by looking at the AP bar).

Known issue: It's not really compatible with Power Armor. Like all Def-UI presets that change the location of survival icons to be closer to the edge of the screen, the first icon won't be visible if you're wearing power armor because Bethesda chose to alter the location of the icons instead of updating the power armor hud to display them properly like all of the other UI elements. In addition to that, the positioning is relative to where they're located in the main UI. Which is to say that they're moved down and to the right in relation to their normal location when you enter power armor, so if you're running a preset (like this one) that places them a little closer to the edge of the screen, they tend to get cut off in PA.

It's in no way game-breaking, but it is mildly annoying. Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about this unless Def-UI gets some kind of update that adds compatibility for power armor, so you just have to get used to it.

So yeah... this is my preset. There are many like it but this one is mine. If you like it, cool! If you hate it, I don't care.

Be sure to like and subscribe. ;)
