Personally, I had no issues with this mod. Zero FPS drop, and no flickering in Concord that is generally associated with "previsbine" issues. I just installed, and it worked. Mod works very nicely.
BTW, is this an original artwork, or is it inspired by another video game?
I experienced no flickering, nor FPS drop in Concord, but there is a patch for the issue you mentioned. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/52471 No need to avoid this mod.
Firing any shotgun one-handed is difficult, but a larger-bore and sawn-off (which I imagine is when you'd imagine pistol-holding it) it'd have way more recoil, so only recommended doing habitually if you've got a cyborg's wrists. In any case this type of shotgun needs frequent reloading and doing that one-handed would take significantly longer, so you might as well be using both hands to steady it for firing too. There is no point in using any shotgun one handed unless as a desperate one-off shot or your other arm is disabled etc.
Been one my favorite mods for a very long time. Still, too bad about the suppressor having duct tape all around it. Really kills the idea of using it since it looks absolutely jank-horrid.
