For anyone who is interested in updates on this, i released my own interpretation with some additions and updates. Im also curious about color swap for the sweet spot. See here: Lockpick Debug Menu Revised
On my Nth play-through of F4, I decided to add this, just because I'm tired of the lockpick minigame... I *have* to say, this has removed a major headache from the game, making it much more enjoyable!!
I also noticed the two issues that other folks commented on; (1) the entire bar is shades of green, and (2) the bobby pin moves opposite direction from the pointer... tbh, though, neither of those bother me much... I can still tell where the bobby pin needs to go to, it's just a bit more of a challenge to see... and the pointer movement is unexpected, but doesn't really confuse me or anything... I'm just grateful to have this mod available!!!
Awesomeness!!!!! Thank you; Only suggestion is maybe different colors as you get closer to the "sweet spot". As it is, kinda hard to tell where the sweet spot resides; for some reason, in my game, the bar is all green. Not sure how/why mine is different from the images posted.
Any chance you could do a version that just shows the bar (not the text) and reverse it so that the bobby pin moves in the same direction as the pointer? Or just no text, if reversal makes no difference or can't be done.
While i knew there already was a mod that "bypassed" the lockpicking mini game i thought that peeps wouldn't mind a different option. Both mods achieve the same goals in different ways.
This mod doesn't use a plugin (.esp), which is safer for your savegame - plugins hacked together before official tools are released can lead to future problems (improperly structured records, headers, etc).
Actually is a different mod. That one is brainless turn around the lock. This one you need to watch the screen for the bar to see where is the sweet spot. If you use the 2nd one carelessly, will still fail to open the lock.
