I love the textures but i get some weird glitchy wall textures that seem to layer with other ones and make it look weird. Almost as if there are two texture mods loading at the same time, so part of a red wall will suddenly turn yellow with a straight cut off line. Like this??
2020 here, just wanted to post what I found that finally fixed the pink bricks texture for me. RedRocketTV's advice below is great, but didn't apply to my situation at all. I don't even HAVE a bricks_01_d.dds file in my Textures folder (which is the key comment he linked to in his advice), although I do have a bricks01_d.dds file and other "bricks" files after having installed Langley's pack.
So messing around with trying to download other texture packs and replacing bricks or whatever was a complete waste of time, although I realize his advice may be unique to what his situation was and is now approaching a year old -- not to mention the advice in the post he linked to is three years old.
In the end, the solution was quite simple: I just deactivated Langley's Texture Pack, then DELETED it using Nexus Mod Manager, then reinstalled a fresh copy of the mod. That's it! No amount of resetting Archive Invalidation or anything else did the trick other than just getting what used to be a working copy of Langley's out of there then reinstalling it would work. I don't know how the file somehow gets corrupted but I assure you that I was not allowing it to be overwritten or overridden by any other texture, mod, or file. It just needed to be "refreshed".
I sure hope this helps someone because I was tearing my hair out knowing Langley's was causing this infamous pink brick issue, but I was loathe to give up all his other great textures in the game.
I also have the pink brick problem. Ill try out your solution. Ive also been having problems with texture mods in general, some work some dont, some textures within working mods dont even work for me. No clue whats going on, thought this might be connected, but I guess not.
If you replace brick textures you also need to match DExtBrickDetails01_d.dds with your brick design. Otherwise some buildings in Diamond city area will have some parts with vanilla bricks.
This Texture Pack is amazing and pairs perfectly with Vivid Fallout. It solves all the blurry-muddy textures in external buildings and do not eat my VRAM like most other packs available. I have it load after Vivid and before FlaconOil's and it's amazing. The final touch my load order needed. <3
I notice the book cover "Can YOU Survive the ZOMBIE Apocalypse?" and decided to look it up. I laughed pretty good cause it's a real book. It is a role playing book based on the chose as you go method. I must say it peaked my interest, so I ordered it.
I will let you know how good once it arrives and I read it.
This mod conflicts with FlaconOil's HD ReTexture Project in 4k 2k - Made from Scratch ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3747/? ). Conflicting files are numerous, so i'll list only some of them: textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim01_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim01_n.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim01_s.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim02_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim03_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim03_n.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim03_s.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim04_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim05_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim06_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrim07_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrimGreen01_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrimGreen02_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrimGreenDC01_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\RetailTrimRemap01_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\WoodFloor01_d.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\WoodFloor01_n.DDS textures\architecture\buildings\WoodFloor01_s.DDS textures\setdressing\VaultBoyBobbleheads\Bobblehead_Stand01_d.DDS textures\setdressing\VaultBoyBobbleheads\Bobblehead_Stand01_g.DDS textures\setdressing\VaultBoyBobbleheads\Bobblehead_Stand01_n.DDS textures\setdressing\VaultBoyBobbleheads\Bobblehead_Stand01_s.DDS textures\setdressing\WoodCrate\WoodCrate_d.DDS textures\setdressing\WoodCrate\WoodCrate_n.DDS textures\setdressing\WoodCrate\WoodCrate_s.DDS
These textures seem to be inferior (though a lot of it is my personal opinion) to what FalconOil's has, so i'm editing this mod before installation by removing this files. The rest of the conflicting textures (not listed above) are better in this mod.
P.S. Flaking paint on ResidentialSiding is wicked awesome, by the way!
Will you please stop spanning every texture mod with your comparison to Flacon Oil's overhaul. We get it, you like it, we can make our own decisions. Not to mention how rude it is to rip on someones textures and promote other ones on someones page.
That's not possible. You can't upload it without getting into trouble with Langley or FlaconOil ( and you can't blame them ). But you can do it yourself. I did. It did cost me a whole weekend comparing 6 texture mods in total, but it was worth it
As a note, while it may come across rude, there are actually +90 texture conflicts (https://imgur.com/a/1SqTd - there's not 126 conflicts, a few are from other mods), so the fact that he considers just the ones he listed to be worse isn't exactly a big put down.
Both are talented texture artists, but where their work overlaps, it's fair enough that one would be able to pick out which textures one prefers.
Thanks to you I tried FlaconOil's textures and they seem to be better so far, thanks. I have a small issue though, it is common on my PC between Langley's textures and FlaconOil's textures in that some buildings have windows with brickwork where the window glass should be? Any ideas?
Umm... you all can use BOTH at the same time... Flaconoil has .BA2 versions and this mod was packed into BA2s as well here Langley's HD Texture Workshop (Packed). Just decide which mod you like more and load it After the other one...
Hey thanks so much for that packed BA2 link. Helps a ton with a mod like this. I will say though if you load Langley's before Flaconoil's esp, you will still get the purple bricks bug and will need to be fixed. When I made Langley load after Flaconoil's, the bug went away. Just a heads up for anyone still downloading these.
I dont mind. they said it was subjective and tbh, im fine to take their word for it and not be bothered to do it myself. in fact, if they are the type of person to comb through textures, id like to hear the full install order lol. no need to be sensitive, even though they could have avoided using words like inferior. Utility gets us further along than feelings ever will but a little tact goes a long way.
Best way to do it would be simply manual download this mod Paste everything into Flaconoils texture folders and when asked to overwrite say on or do the opposite and say yes.

a low end pc version would be nice aswell!

Thank God for simple fixes.
