ALL DLCs ARE REQUIRED!!!

This mod is an update and a replacement of my previous mod Scrapper Without Workshop (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12966/?).

This mod will add a magazine called Prospector Handbook! Once you locate it and add it to your inventory you will be able to scrap components like plastic, steel, wood, rubber etc. from numerous different objects throughout the entire Commonwealth without the dependence of any workshop. For a basic list of objects that can be scrapped please see further below.

If you are updating this mod from any older version of this mod (Scavenger_The search for Scrap) or any version of my previous mod (Scrapper Without Workshop) then it is strongly recommended that you do the following.

Uninstall the mod. Then do a clean save of the game. Install the updated version of the mod. When you go back into the game you will then need to locate the "Prospector Handbook" magazine again just like you needed to do when you installed the mod the first time.

However if you prefer to not have to go back to the location of the magazine then you can add it via the console if you have no problems doing so. Enter the console and input the following line...

player.additem xx00CDD2 1 This will add 1 copy of the magazine to your inventory.
Note: (xx will be the load order of the mod)

By default, everything is turned off !!! So once you locate the magazine and add it to your inventory be sure to then open the settings holotape and select the objects you would like to scrap. The holotape is located under the misc tab.

The Settings Holotape ([Settings] Kor_Scavenger) allows you to enable or disable object from being able to scavenge. Also some objects also can be set to be Destroyed (removed completely from game) or Preserved (object remains in game). Armors and weapons will be always destroyed (removed). Please be advised that these setting are a bit extensive so go through each and carefully select how you want to configured each object or category. I just also want to point out that certain objects, if destroyed (removed), could potentially cause issues with a quest or a perk or even maybe another mod. So if you have any doubts or concerns about whether or not to destroy (remove) an object then you should probably elect to preserve the object just to be safe. Once you destroy (remove) an object then it is gone. The only way to get it back is to revert to a save prior to when you destroyed the object.

HOTKEY activator (Kor_Scavenger on/off) - can quickly and easily enable/disable the mod. It is located under Inventory/Aid. Note: after initial activation of the mod the activator will most likely be set to off so please check (use holotape and look at status on first screen) and if necessary turn on to make the mod functions active.

Here is a partial list of scrapable objects (generally almost any Moveable Static Object). Complete listing of individual objects that can scrapped can better be seen when you go into the setting holotape.

Cars - Coupe, Sedan, Van, Truck
Boxes - Cardboard Boxes, Office paper boxes, Plastic Bins
Obstacles - Construction Barriers, Sawhorses, Traffic Cone, Mannequins, Trash Cans, moveable Barrels, moveable Robot parts, Tricycles, Shopping Carts, Gurneys, Baby Carriages, Picture Frames
Skeletons
Generators
Sandbags
Fans
Institute computer consoles
Explosive objects
Traffic lights
Robobrain jars
Microphones
Junk - cars parts, robot parts, etc.
Armor - almost any (unique not)
Weapons - range - every type (unique not)
Weapons - melee - every type (unique not)
Outfits - any (unique not)
Hats - any (unique not)
Robots, turrets and Synths Gen1+2 corpses are now scrapable via this mod (!ATTENTION! this option will only show after corpses inventory is empty).

Notifications about getting components was removed, and replaced with the announcement of a successful salvation. It's because when a player salvaged multiple objects in quick succession (typically cars) so the game was not sufficient to show notifications of acquired components.

Items able to be scrapped will increase over time with future updates.

Small hint: Book is located somewhere nearby Vault 111 (hint picture available).

Feedback welcome :-)
