looks like the bloke in Falling Down. great film if you haven't watched it. we all have our limits; physical, emotional and mental. what will it take to reach those limits; and what happens to us when we push past them? this poor bastard was pushed WAY too far.
im surpise that you can't move him after he completes the cure for himself. And move him close to the populated area and a bigger lab. and a quest line to farther curing the rest of them.
Hi! I realise this is 3 years old but I was wondering if you could make it so he leaves his tattered stretched super mutant Institute uniform in his cave somewhere set as unowned so I have something thematic for Strong to wear in my Institute playthrough?
OOOOHH... huh. Is that so...? In that case, I'm not sure why they gave his Super Mutant form glasses in the first place, then... I suppose, in a best-case scenario (Lore-Wise); perhaps it's mostly an affectation.
It seems the consensus online is that: yes, his glasses are purely an affectation when in mutant form and are indeed broken/unusable (merely a vestige oh his humanity which he feebly clings to).
In light of this, I will release a new version tonight which excludes glasses- and keep the existing, glasses version as an optional download.
I am 100% with you RS13, but, thankfully, Modding allows us to be our own directors and editors-in-chief for this otherwise fantastic game.
Honestly, I've probably spent more time modding this game than I have playing it- I THOROUGHLY enjoy correcting little mistakes until everything is perfect.
...Now if only I could make my main character stop whistling at his friends to get their attention (what a massive tool).
He wore glasses as part of a concerted effort to keep his humanity - think of it as a reminder of sorts. All of this is explained by terminals/dialogue, by the way. His glasses aren't necessary at all.
What are you talking about losing mass? clearly he kept the same amount in his super-mutant as he had in his original human form, so when he transformed back, he didn't loose any mass he just reorganize it back to it's proper volume. it's just when in his super-mutant for his body-to-mass ratio was way messed uo and he could be blown away by a light wind!
Ah, so that's why he rarely leaves his cave. Maybe the Children of the Atom were weirded out by how he clung to his protectron like a baby koala to avoid being swept into the stratosphere. This explains a lot.
He's kind of brusque, yeah. I'll let you know when I finish work on my "best buddy, super cool bro, let's buy this dude a beer - Virgil" mod. I'll add a quest where, after completing the FEV reversal serum; we then have to GET VIRGIL'S GROOVE BACK.
Holding on to some part of his humanity perhaps? Also anyone that wears glasses alot will tell you that it feels weird when they are off for a prolonged period of time, like your face is naked.

Thanks anyway though, I fixed that myself with FO4edit then merged the changes to Virgil with another esp.
Sigh.

But yeah, good job.
