About this mod

A wild locked door appeared! However, this mod will allow you to use melee or explosive attacks to open it and get through. Now, you get to bash locked doors instead of stopping your momentum with a lockpicking mini-game. However, it'll only work on doors that can be opened normally with a lockpick.

A wild locked door appeared! However, this mod will allow you to use melee or explosive attacks to open it and get through. Now, you get to bash locked doors instead of stopping your momentum with a lockpicking mini-game. However, it'll only work on doors that can be opened normally with a lockpick. You still gain EXP from opening doors with violence.

There are now 4 ways to open locked doors:

SOLUTION 1: MELEE ATTACK

If you have 11 points of STRENGTH you can bash it open with a melee attack. That's right, eleven. That means you need to wear power armor or use gear/buffs to boost your Strength past the 10 point limit. You can use a GUN's melee bash too.

(new) The perk BASHER rank 1 can now open novice locks.
(new) The perk BASHER rank 3 can now open advanced locks.
(new) You can now sprint into a door, it works like a melee attack.

SOLUTION 2: EXPLOSIVE ATTACK

If you have the perk DEMOLITION EXPERT at rank 1 star or higher, you can use grenades, mines and other explosives devices to open those doors. You can even use a FAT MAN or a MIRV launcher if you're crazy. Missiles works fine too. Remember, beware of splash damage while handling explosives.

(new) If you have a FRAG GRENADE or a FRAG MINE in your inventory, you can use a melee attack on a locked door to craft a bomb that will explode after 4 seconds.

SOLUTION 3: POWERFUL ATTACK

The following weapons can open certain locks simply by attacking:

Double Barrel Shotgun can open novice locks. Advanced Receiver allows it to open advanced locks.
Combat Shotgun can open novice locks. Advanced Receiver allows it to open advanced locks.
Sledgehammer can open up to advanced locks.
Super Sledge can open up to master locks.
(new) A legendary gun with the EXPLOSIVE prefix can open up to advanced locks.
(new) A PowerFist can open up to advanced locks.

SOLUTION 4: LOCKPICKING

Hey, it's still an option. You have a lot of bobby pins, right? The difficulty of lockpicking is unchanged.

This base mod only affects doors, and specifically doors from Vanilla Fallout 4. That means doors from DLCs add-ons are likely not affected. You'll need the mod addon UnlockingViolenceAddons.esp to add compability to Far Harbor and Nuka World. Automatron doesn't have doors that requires a compability addon, Oh, after you activate the mod, it only starts once you move to a new area. If you saved in front of a locked door, exit the area and come back. 

USER FEEDBACK

I decided to upload a bunch of my mods from Bethesda.net to the nexusmods.com website, but my target audience is the console userbase of Fallout 4. While I'll be happy to read any feedback, comments, suggestions and questions from comments, I'll only implement changes to my mod if I can make work on the console beforehand. That means any features that requires F4SE or involves ini files won't be used.
