Was this play tested? (In the sense of playing the game legitimately?)
(There's a number of "conceptual" or "unaddressed game balance issues" here. For example, you can still heal just fine using different settlement objects, like a water pump. Also, though, sleeping in survival mode induces hunger and thirst and satisfying either of those would heal your character (once you have a reliable surplus of basically anything). Also, sleeping heals in real life so for realism and added challenge a "heal slower" mod would seem to be a better way of achieving this mod's stated goal.)

VANILLA SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY MUST BE ACTIVE. CONFLICTS WITH MODS THAT REMOVE DIRTY BED 5 HOUR RESTRICTION except LET ME SLEEP. Most mods you need to start game, make new save, load that save, and mod will activate. Try a save that does not have SURVIVAL DIFFICULTY and add the difficulty to activate the mod. You can use SURVIVAL UNLIMITED MOD to allow changing difficulty to SURVIVAL and back unrestricted. I think SURVIVAL OPTIONS allows removal of insomnia. I disabled that with FO4edit. Insomnia is a broken feature of Fallout 4. Better to play with out insomnia.
I change from SURVIVAL to NORMAL then to SURVIVAL and the mod activated. I do not heal when sleeping ever. I used "player.forceav healrate .05" to allow healing over time. (This takes days) Healing over time does not work when sleeping if this mod is active. Healing over time does work with waiting and waiting mods.
I only mention UNLIMITED SURVIVAL because it may help others get this mod to activate. This is a great mod, No full heal everything with 1 hour sleep! Endorsing.
3 1/2 year later............... Hey everyone. The info I listed in 2018 is still accurate. If that fails it is likely an HCManager overwrite (which you know if you are checking your files). If that fails try this mod at the end of your load order. If that fails you have another possible option. Unzip the mod. Extract the BA2. Drag folder "hardcore" into scripts. I added that folder with it's script to my game only and don't use the ESP at all. Works 100% for me even with VR.
Not working... I receive health and limbs regen on sleep... I tested also with extended agony and also I receive heal while sleeping... bouhh... I use the mod sofa surfer and few beds mods, do this problem can come from these mods? I have to uninstall them?
Would you mind telling me what you changed in the HC_ManagerScript to get this effect? I've been trying to backwards engineer how you made the mod, but I can't seem to find how/what you changed. I ask because I am trying to make a personal compatibility patch with a few different mods that alter the HC_Manager, just as you made for the CN+RASE.
I'd really like to use this with my Immersive Gampleplay SHC patch, Immertsive Gameplay already makes adjustments to the HC_Maneger quests, I'm not sure about the scripts. Is there any way to make them compatible.

I too would love to find out what changes have been made to HC_ManagerScript and if a version which provides minor healing (30% of player's max. health) is possible.

But I think it's not that easy, bcause this mod contains not only esp, but ba2.

sleep => 0 health back 0%
sleep => 1 hour health back 15%
all of those until 5 hours then the last one restores 100%
