This mod simply adds my version of Cateye, Enhanced Cateye, and CateyeAway to the game. This is a small mod I made for my less than scientific character to be able to see at night. My nights are really dark; when it's raining or the moon just isn't out, I literally cannot tell what is in 5 ft in front of me without the Pipboy light, and the Pipboy light is bad for stealth. The character for which I made this just wasn't science-y enough to make them fancy-shmancy night vision goggles, so they had to resort to drugs to be able to see in the (very dark) nights I have in my game.

I realized, while making this, that there is a problem with the name of the Cateye addiction. I have fixed it. However, this shows the basics. Also, sorry about the video quality. I only have Shadowplay that works for me right now...

I am told that there is a mod out there that aims to import all the drugs and weapons from FNV as well as the other Fallout games. Meh, I just wanted Cateye.

These drugs are craftable, but not initially. There is a recipe floating out there somewhere for you to find. Cateye is a relatively new drug in the Commonwealth, and while it can be found on vendors and on Raiders, very few people know how to make it. But somebody out there does. Search for that recipe! CateyeAway is a drug that removes the low light vision if it is lasting too long for a given situation. It's pretty simple. Whoever figured out
how to make CateyeAway was lazy, and just distributed it in old cigarette boxes (it seemed like something some INTP chemist would do). Also, the chemist who formulated this new version of Cateye could never get rid of the blue tint your vision gets as a side-effect (i.e. I like the blue tint). Also, this version is addictive, so user beware.

This mod used to edit the chem and vendor leveled lists, but now it adds the new chems to the appropriate lists via a script.

I realize that people have their nights varying degrees of dark. As such, I have added a settings holotape that will allow you to change the brightness of the low light effect to suit your game's night brightness. When you change you brightness setting and leave the Pipboy, you will get a 7 second preview of the effect to see if that brightness setting suits you. The default is 60% brightness; I used to use 100% in my game, before I changed my enb. Now I use 60%.

The settings holotape also gives you a way to reset the mod if there are any issues. Also, if you want to uninstall the mod, there is an option in the holotape for that which will remove all chems added by this mod from the leveled lists. I don't know how much of a problem it would be if forms that no longer existed in game were still appearing on leveled lists, but I suspect crashes would result. So, please, if you want to uninstall the mod down the line, follow the instructions in the holotape. That's all I have to say about that.

Let me know if you find any bugs!

Installation:

Use a mod manager. To get the mod to configure itself, you need to open and close the Pipboy menu. I recently had to rework this, and I think I've covered all the situations, but let me know if you find any problems. Thanks.

My other mod for Fallout 4:

It gives you empty bottles and makes hard liquor last longer...

I'll add some recommended mods here in a bit.
