A modest makeover of Homeplate in Diamond City, retaining the dimensions and layout of the original location but without the incessant noise and fog. There are no screenshots of the interior so you can make your own and submit them once you have added to the contents. The interior workbench has been replaced with an unlimited one and is now located in the basement. Access to the basement is under the staircase and there's a large open room with crafting stations as well as accommodation upstairs for a companion (I think the bed is configured to allow them to sleep there) and a hidden room below it for you to decorate as you wish.

There is also a second trapdoor that leads to the Prost Bar, as I liked the look of it and restored its interior.

Outside Homeplate the trailer has been furnished with some additional hardware: a water tank for the shower and a scanner for, you know, scanning things... There is also an extension providing workshop facilities, greenhouse tables and a basic seating area, accessed by a rickety bridge from the corrugated roof of your shack. The extension is kind of supported architecturally, with some supports and pillars but nothing that would impact the navmesh on the ground for NPCs. The last thing I want to do is break the navmesh in Diamond City!

Early in the game the player is told about Diamond City - "the great green jewel" - but when you evdentually walk down those steps, it's more like the great brown sea of mud! With that in mind, the terrain meshes have been retextured with grass - the pre-war astroturf has survived well!

The interiors of every location in DC have been subtly edited, mainly trash removal and some of them given <gasp!> solid floors. In particular Sheng Kawolski's hut possessed the ubiquitous brown mud floor, despite the fact that the building was on an elevated metal platform over the lake! Mr Kawolski now has a more realistic floor.

The exterior of DC has been cleaned and smartened up on the approaches and around all sides of the DC exterior. As you walk down the main road for the first time the green trees at least give you some kind of hope that you're going to a (slightly) better place than the rest of the trash- and rubble-strewn Commonwealth.

In order to minimise download time and file size, all of my mods now reference the Q99 Resource Pack. You will only need to download this once for all of my mods. Any additional files required by mods are bundled loosely with mod ESPs. The file is flagged as a required file and you should be notified when downloading this mod. It can be found here:

Following a request from Nexus member Maria de Chirikof, there is now a selection of Homeplate renovation levels to choose from for those players who have already furnished Homeplate and/or who don't like my furnishing style!  ;)

Diamond City remains unaltered from the original mod, with only the interior and exterior of Homeplate area changed as detailed below:

1. Homeplate Renovation - The original, full-fat renovation of Diamond City and Homeplate interior, the exterior trailer and addition of flying greenhouse workshop.

2. Homeplate Renovation Lite - Diamond City as above but with Homeplate's interior EMPTY - no lights, so get crafting! The exterior trailer and flying greenhouse workshop are unchanged. COMING OCTOBER 2017

3. Homeplate Renovation Ultra-Lite - Diamond City as above but with Homeplate's interior EMPTY - no lights AND the exterior trailer and flying greenhouse also empty except for the workbench.  COMING OCTOBER 2017

4. Homeplate Renovation Tabula Rasa - Diamond City as above but with Homeplate's interior EMPTY - no lights and the exterior trailer has been emptied and the flying greenhouse removed. The bench, plants and path elements around the exterior remain.  COMING OCTOBER 2017

Some of the textures I have created for use in material swaps come from Jester's Seamless Texture Pack and can be found in the Modders Resource category or at this location:

I should also like to thank Hozsa for allowing me to use some of the high-quality, pre-war textures from his Easy Homebuilder and Working Double Beds mod:

Whilst not required for the mod to work, the following mods have contributed to the screenshots:
