Heads up, I'm not some super skilled modder. I just know a bit about Bethesda and their engine from FO3 and NV when I made joke projects. I am figuring out snap points as I work around. I will also figure out how to make the lights more realistic. Right now, they're way too bright but being too bright is better than owning your very own mole people.

Hey man, I wouldn't know how to do this but, it seems like the lights in Vault 81 are a lot "softer" and less harsh than the lights in the settlements. I wouldn't know how to do that for the Vault DLC lights, but it's just a tip for your mod.

I never complain about anything being too bright. because my ENB makes everything darker as it is. And I don't want mole people. :)

If you want it to be more realistic, make the lights cast shadows. If that's a problem with the parts in the DLC then make them cast shadows. I promise you that it will make it look a thousand times better and more realistic

The problem with setting all lights to cast shadows is that it'll drop your FPS if there's too many - not everyone has a GTX Titan X or whatever the most powerful GFX card is out there now.

This mod works beautifully! P.S. I tried the mod that was recommended instead in the description, and it broke my Vault. This one actually fixed the lighting though!

I like using this mod, but decided I could live without it, I dont think it has to do with the mod, rather the game & the fact im using a 4 year old laptop (MSI ge60) with a gtx860 card, but it halves my fps when I have it active, around 30fps, and mouse acceleration is broken into the on position of course so 30fps is getting close to unplayable, otherwise I get high 50s with it off

Will always prefer this mod over the one suggested in the description...

I just lost several hours of game playing time tonight because the crappy lighting suddenly became unbearable for me and I fell into a deep depression. Then I found this mod which promises to fix the vault craptastic lighting!

On the off chance you might be interested in it, I made a thing for people who might be OCD about where the light is coming from too:

I love you! I have been trying brighter settlement lights and many different mods but none of them seem to affect the vault lights. THANK YOU GOOD SIR! Now I can get back to my vault since I can see in the damn place!

There is a mod that does this already (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16866/?) that I've been using - I'm gonna have to compare this one to it.
