i used the presets on Mama murphy, and trashcan Carla, and Elle Perkins, 2 game days later their faces went bizzarro twisted.....I'm thinking this is for protagonist only?
No, some NPCs use special bone structures. You have to override their faces with an esp or copy their original face to a preset, then change that via a new game. Go back to your original save and change their face. The three you mentioned are not the only "pain in the ass" NPCs.
