Update (7/6/2023) - Fallout 4 modding has progressed a lot since I made this. I have no plans to make any changes to this mod at this time. I don't play FO4 much anymore so I haven't checked myself, but I'm guessing there are probably mods out there that do the hammer fanning thing better than mine does. I'm leaving this up, but I urge you to check out other options.

I was playing as a gunslinger character, and was somewhat disappointed to find that the fast, Clint Eastwood western movie style hammer fanning is nowhere to be found. Can't really have a cheesy gunslinger character without emptying a few cylinders into a mutants face, now can we? So I made this mod, which allows you make a Slip Receiver so you can do just that.

Gun enthusiasts might point out that A) slipping isn't the same as fanning and B) nobody actually fans the hammer outside of demonstrations and competitions. But hey, it's Fallout, so who cares?
And mod enthusiast might point out that all I actually did was make a weapon mod that makes the 44 automatic and increase the fire rate. To which I just say I'm really glad it was that easy. Took like 20 minutes to make this mod.

Now, at first glance this might seem pretty broken. And honestly, it probably is. However, the recoil is still pretty bad, so good luck hitting anything more than a few feet away with more than a few bullets. The inaccuracy also means that you'll probably be wasting a lot of ammo, and .44 doesn't exactly grow on trees. So I figure it mostly evens out in the end.

Issues:
This mod uses animations left in the game files from what I assume was cut content, and the animations only exist for 1st person. The weapon still functions as an automatic, but with no fanning animation, and there may be other problems. I'm not an animator, so I can't change this on my own. As such, this mod is not intended to be used in 3rd person. This also applies to the Western Revolver version.
The Western Revolver mod adds several extra "phantom" receivers that can't be built and can't be consoled in. They don't show up in the CK or FO4Edit so I'm having trouble finding out exactly what's causing them to show up. In any case, they don't seem to cause any problems other than a cluttered crafting menu, so I uploaded anyway.


Compatibility:
As far as I know, this won't conflict with anything. All it does is add 2 receivers and 2 recipes to build them.
You probably won't be able to build the receivers for weapons that are added by other mods, unless they use the .44 object mod list. However, I have not tested this personally, so no guarantees.
This is confirmed to work with unique versions of .44 that are already in the game. Not confirmed with ones added by mods.
