i was pretty fed up with the sounds of the laser weapons in fallout. i never did understand why LASERS made a sound at all...but i guess people like to hear their guns.

well...i understand that...but thats no excuse to have lasers sounding like regular old guns....so i decided to change it. this mod changes the sounds for the following weapons:

laser pistol
laser rifle
auto laser pistol
auto laser rifle

it also changes the institute versions since they share the same sound files.

this is a custom sound designed and created by me. i took various sounds of old fashioned flash bulbs...layered them and did some other audio trickery and voila - better sounds for lasers. i also added a high pitched "charging" sound to the single fire versions of the sounds.

unfortunately...when outside you may hear the distant echo of the old sound...im not sure how to change that...if any of you know...im all ears.

i made this primarily for myself, but figured id add it in case others might enjoy it. all comments are welcomed, and ill surely try to fix anything if its broken, but i dont intend on doing a bunch more work on this....who knows though. if enough people are interested...

download with nmm or manually...place contents in your data folder.

::UPDATE::

version 1.1 has reduced charging sound. both length and volume have been decreased. (so...the current version sound a little different than the video)

added optional file that does not include the charging sound.
