I was really excited for this mod but it seems fusion cores get deleted from your inventory if they reach 0? I can't find an empty core anywhere in my inv to charge. If this mod doesn't keep empty core, or if the game automatically deletes them, what is the point of this mod if you aren't going to manually swap your cores (because who is)
never drain your fusion cores, if you use it in power armor you should always take the fusion core out when it goes down to 10% or so, maybe lower, just don't let it reach 0 or it'll disappear. same with guns that use fusion cores, reload early to keep the unspent but still low energy fusion core. and then bring the things to this refueler to refuel them back to 100%.
Ok, finally made it work. You need a ton of aluminium to make this work which is the hardest part. If you have Heather she sells some everyday. Then the power obviously, no real problem here, just notice that once the cable is connected the colony stats in the crafting screen still show the same power stat. Then you need the button, which is not obvious from the video, in the video you get the impression you just need to put the 2 nuclear materials + the fusion core and it detects them when you exit the share screen well it doesn't seem so, so just build this button, you'll need 2 more aluminium for it, and you can place it on top of the charger frame as said in the description. Load your charger with the 2 nuclear material + the fusion core press the button the gate will close, you'll hear the sound of the machine working, and it will eject the new fusion core !
Thanks for the mod, personally I think the charge of these things should last much longer, it's fusion technology after all it should be counted in years probably, but this charger is a good workaround, assuming you can find all this aluminium !
Would be nice if the box at bottom stored the core and not spit them out to roll around on the ground, something to catch them maybe so I can charge many and do things at the same time
I love this mod. Year after year i always come back to it... it's the easier to use and less hustle requiring. Also just as a reminder to everyone, you need to place the red button on the thing, otherwise it won't work.
So I've seen some say this doesn't, I downloaded both the Swaptest and the middle file, I had the cores in there, and the nuclear material, and it refuses to take them. Idk what else to do. I've seen Zelurker's post about needing aluminum and I have tons of it and it still doesn't charge the cores with the nuclear material inside of it.....
So just installed the mod and the refueler is not showing up in the crafting menu. I tried having all three installed and each one active individually and it still doesn't show up. Using Vortex if that means anything different.
