THIS MOD NOW REQUIRES F4SE since V1.9!

    UPDATING INSTRUCTIONS
If you are updating from an older version follow these steps:

    - Open console and type stopquest pd_vreload
    - Exit console and wait a few seconds
    - Open console again and type startquest pd_vreload

If you are using a weapon from a compatibility patch, unequip and reequip it.

If the mod stops working after an update you can try doing a "clean save".

    - Load game
    - Type "stopquest pd_vreload_quest" in console, exit console and wait around ten seconds
    - Save and exit the game
    - Uninstall the mod (if you extracted the scripts to loose folders, remove those too)
    - Load game
    - Save and exit again
    - Reinstall the mod
    - Load game

Thanks to Zeridian for pointing that out!

Note: Clean saving was common practice in older Bethesda games, but in Skyrim that changed due to Papyrus language, where part of the scripts are embedded in the save games.
If you follow this method and are a person who check the logs regularly, it's possible that you see some lines pointing this mod, they are warnings that only appear upon loading the game and can be ignored. In fact even the developers recommend not paying too much attention to the logs.

I wonder if Bullet Counted Reload System adds the required functions to support revolvers and other weapons that use loose ammo.

Maybe, but it needs wide-scale adoption still. It's going to be a while before most weapon authors have incorporated it.

Revolvers already have their disadvantages from small ammo count and much slower reload - putting BCRS on a Revolver would literally make it so nobody would ever use it - unless they were using it like a Hunting Rifle and stealth sniping with it.Oh smack, I had to fire all 6, let me go use the little Norseman's room while it's reloading.

Could you...explain what kind of issues?

Mod authors can't magically fix problems they don't see themselves without detailed explanations of the problem and reproduction steps.

Cool idea but that fact that npc's have infinite ammo and a firefight can go on for however long i want it to, I can only imagine the potential harm to my games stability. A good idea would be to have 100 max mags per cell and then when not just reloading, but also going some feet away from the mags location they would delete. As it stands I don't think this is a good idea, unless if I purposely die in tough long firefights instead of longing them out.

I've heard Visual Reload is the culprit causing some scripts in the game not to run properly, one specific example is the power armor station can't be activated, found other people with similar problems all about the power armor station. BUT, this was a while ago they said that, so what I am wondering is; Has this problem been fixed in Visual Reload? Can it no longer be the culprit?

EDIT: Decided to uninstall Visual Reload. Now my game works fine... Appears VReload was the culprit after all. Love this mod otherwise, so I'd love a fix for this.

This mod is one of my favourite mods, but yes, it does break quite a few things. I made a lot of posts about it in ~2016. It has been this way for years now. It's a shame the bugs were never ironed out.

Could it be possible to make it keep track of how many bullets were left in each magazine...so that when mags hit the ground they take whatever bullets were in there with them?

This mod does more harm than good. It's just gonna bloat game save files

Thanks for the mod, it's very cool! I combine this with the Shell Rain mod. I like examining the scene after a firefight to see exactly where the enemies were holed up.
