About this mod

Tired of only having black wires? Now you can break the monotony and color code your power circuits! Currently included colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet

Permissions and credits
To select a color you need to enable one of the wire_color_*.esp files along with "Colored Settlement Wires.esp". All wires that you make will be whichever color you picked until you load a different .esp. In order to switch back to black wires you simply disable it. Also, this will not change the color of existing wires.

In version 0.2 you can change wire color in-game by calling the appropriate batch file. The files for different colors are named w followed by the color you want. As an example: if you wanted to switch to red wires you could bring up the console and then type "bat wred".

WARNING: switching colors in-game will cause your game to crash when you go to save. This is a known issue that I haven't been able to fix so far.

An Xbox version of this mod will be released when I have the time.

Exiting the game, selecting a different .esp, and then loading the game again is very tedious. I am trying to figure out a way to change colors in-game, but I'm stuck on how to do it. This mod works by altering the value of a default object (WorkshopSplineObject). I do not know how to change a default object in Papyrus (if it is even possible) so I would appreciate any feedback on how to do this.

Available colors:
  • red
  • orange
  • yello
  • green
  • blue
  • indigo
  • violet
  • black

Note that if/when I figure out how to switch colors in-game the functionality of this mod will be included in Advanced Settlement Power; however, I will leave this as a standalone mod for people who don't need the horsepower of ASP but would like colored wires.

The initial idea came from KooLadeInDaBoro in a post on the ASP comments.
