I love this weapon but it really shows up way too much. I have a bunch of other weapon mods and this seems to show up 90% of the time. Too bad it hasn't been updated since 2016 :(
This mod and pipe weapons: There seems to be much confusion about the replacement of pipe weapons by the Defense Gun. Many players (including me) come here hoping this to replace pipes. This mods adds Defense Guns to the game, but does nothing to any pipe guns. All keep appearing normally. So there will be pipe guns and defense guns in your game. The defense gun is very similar to the .38 pipe gun, in its functions and moddability, although it is a better weapon and of course looks better. It can be made a pistol, a rifle or a SMG, but not a bolt action or revolver.
Okay well I'm not sure where this is coming from then as evidently it does work fine in my game after all - it is an added weapon but does not appear to replace all pipe weapons like some claim
pure misinformation. this does not replace all pipe weapons at all. it has a chance to spawn in place of a pipe weapon. you're still going to find vanilla pipe weapons and you need another mod to fully replace
these are literally blowback subguns made out of bloody pipes and bear a far higher degree of similarity to real world home made "pipe guns" than the stupid 2x4 with a gate latch stuffed in it that Bethesda came up with, so yes...
