Does the Defense Gun use Perks? (2 comments)

   Yea it feels like when I run a commando play and use the defense gun my perks dont add on to it. so im using a pipe gun with the crap damage.

   And if so which ones? is there a way to tell?
   
   I assume its like automatic uses commando, ones held like a pistol use pistol, and the rest use rifle but wanted to be sure. Anyone know?
