REASONS!!!

Ever wonder what happens to Mother Nature after a Post-Apocalyptic Nuclear Bombing?

Does she really have full control of her sanity?

Has she been listening to too much Metal Music while head banging erratically?

Does she allow someone or something else to take control of the weather?

(...Do my questions make absolutely no sense?  IT DOESN'T MATTER!!)

Get ready!  Cthulhu has control of the weather, and he is pissed!

I bring to you my first Weather Related Fallout 4 Mod, “Raining Blood - Cthulhu’s Wrath”!

MOD INFO!!!
This mod adds four variants of one standalone storm to the game.

Those four variants have been split into three different categories... I will now elaborate.

Raining Blood Variants:
Raining Blood Lite - Drizzle Rain Speed, Low Wind Speed, Low Lightning Chances, Shades of Red in Clouds, Low Damage to Self.
Raining Blood Normal - Almost Standard in game Rainfall Speed, Medium Lightning, Red Clouds, Increased Alpha, Moderate Damage to Self.
Raining Blood Heavy - Heavy Rainfall Speed, High Winds, High Lightning Chances, Redder Lightning, Redder Clouds, More Alpha, High Damage to Self.
Raining Blood Insane - Extremely Heavy Rainfall (Blinding), Very High Winds, Very High Lightning Chances, Reddest Lightning, Reddest Clouds, Highest Alpha, Extremely High Damage to Self.

The Three Categories they have been split into are:
Standard Damage – Normal files, they come with the damage rates seen above.
Low Damage – Lowered Damage by half for each of the Storms above.
No Damage – Removed damage completely from the Storms above.

Unless you get the No Damage variants (or play in God Mode) of these storms they WILL hurt and maybe even kill you due to the “Cthulhu’s Wrath” Spell which does both Rads and Bleeding Damage.

You will NOT be hurt from the Storm if you are inside something that the game deems as an “Interior”.

The higher difficulty you pick of this storm the MORE likely that it will randomly happen when you’re walking around the Commonwealth.

The highest chances to experience this storm randomly happening is in the Outer Regions of the Glowing Sea.

I also added optional downloadable files for the HUD of the Power Armor (I am good like that), they are optional as I could not find what controls that textures are displayed on the HUD meaning if you get these they will overwrite the normal files and it will appear to be Raining Blood while in PA even in a regular rain storm.  Personally I think it looks cool, so I kept it, but I realize that it will not be for everyone.

You should be able to have multiple Raining Bloods active at once as it is a Standalone storm.  However, I am not sure how it would be integrated into the game due to the fact they each change how they are integrated into the game.

That is about it...

“BUT DERPSDALE!!!” you suddenly manically scream at me while flailing your arms over your head, “is it compatible with the True Storms mod?!?!?!”

Answer:  This is a Standalone Storm, so yes you will still get to experience it even with the True Storms mod enabled, HOWEVER, I do not know if the game would integrate it properly into the game as we (most likely) both changed the same things in order to integrate it into the game AND it will NOT use all those fancy textures, cloud lightning, etc. that are in that mod (as I do not have permission to use those, I haven’t asked... yet).

If this mod happens to be popular, then I will ask the author of True Storms about further integration (I promise).

INSTALLATION!!!
Install it like you would any other mod, I suggest using Nexus Mod Manager.

Otherwise, drag the Data Folder to you’re the Data game folder and Merge the files if prompted.  Then drag the ESP file into the Data folder also, and make sure to enable it.

If you choose to get the Power Armor HUD Rain Scene Texture pack, just drag and drop that into your games Data Folder.  If you wish to later uninstall it simply go to your Fallout 4 File Location, then go to Data->Textures->Effects and delete the folder (and its contents) called “Rain Scene”.

If you install the True Storms Compatibility patch, place the Raining Blood ESP file or files UNDER the True Storms.ESP in order to work properly.  Note:  I did NOT integrate any of the custom True Storms Climate ESP file settings and just the True Storms ESP file.  True Storms is REQUIRED for this version to work.

If you want to instantly trigger this storm type in either “force weather XX000803” for the not lazy, or “fw XX000803” for the lazy.  The XX is a variable that stands for your Load Order which can be seen on NMM before you start the game, or check out my “Load Order Tutorial”.

If you pick the regular Insane variant, are no were near shelter, have less than 1500 HP while not playing in God Mode be prepared to die.  You are welcome!
