Tailored Postman Shoulder Bags
Author of the original Wearable Postman Shoulder Bag mod (along with other talented folks listed in the credits)
And, who granted full permission for CommanderMiranda and I to create this mod
Also, with special thanks to CommanderMiranda!
Who provided the majority of textures used in this mod and assisted me in its creation and testing
This mod takes Eferas' original mod to the next level with several new features:

For future plans (such as other workbench support), please see my main sticky comment under the Posts tab!
Grammar Nazi Note: You will find I randomly use the proper "re-texture" nomenclature, along with the improper form "retexture" and the community adopted form "retex". My apologies in advance, but... get over it :)
This mod requires Eferas' original Wearable Postman Shoulder Bag or Backpack mod.
Because "Tailored Postman Shoulder Bag" is essentially an add-on to Eferas' original mod, you get the choice of (1) crafting Eferas' original bags, and (2) crafting the new Tailored Shoulder Bag at any Chemistry station, all under the same category: Shoulder Bags.
NOTE: As of the 1.1 update, you can optionally install the AWKCR patch to craft at the Armorsmith Workbench instead (everything works the same way, regardless of which crafting bench you choose).
At that point, to obtain one or more of the new fully modifiable "Tailored" bags, you must specifically craft the bag called Tailored Shoulder Bag. All other bags in the Shoulder Bags category are the originals from Eferas, and can NOT be modified in the same way by design.
a summary of the in-game Crafting Requirements, and an Important Retex Note.
First, if anyone is having trouble with your "modded" game (CTDs, odd behavior, interfaces not working, etc.) after updating to the 1.5 public release of Fallout 4, please see my detailed instructions for potential help: Quit Screwing With My Interface.
You are strongly encouraged to use a well known mod manager, such as:
- Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) 0.61.21 or higher
- Mod Organizer (MO) 2.0.5 Beta 1 or higher (which moved from alpha to beta status)
If you CHOOSE NOT to use one of the two mod managers above, then I most likely will NOT be able to assist you with issues - simply because there are too many variables.
Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) & Mod Organizer (MO) Instructions:
- Install and setup Eferas' original mod using the instructions on that mod page
- Download the latest version of this mod using the Download With Manager or Download Manually link.
- If using the Download With Manager link, install the mod like you would any mod in NMM or MO
- If using the Download Manually link, download to a location on your computer that you will remember. Then Import the download into NMM or MO and Activate the mod (method of import and activation depends on the mod manager - see your mod manager's instructions for further details).
- Under the "Plugins" tab of NMM or MO, find EferasShoulderBag.esp and EferasShoulderBag-YatzTailored.esp.
- Make sure BOTH plugins are enabled (box is checked)
- Make sure my plugin (EferasShoulderBag-YatzTailored.esp) comes AFTER Eferas' plugin (EferasShoulderBag.esp) in the load order
Manual Installation Instructions:
My apologies in advance, as I myself do a lot of manual mod installations, custom merge patches, etc. - but I'm not even going to entertain the thought of drafting manual instructions on this. You are welcome to manually install this and should have no issues, but If you don't already have a good idea of how to manually install a mod like this, then you honestly should not be trying to manually install this particular mod (no offense intended, but felt I should be direct and clear there to help you avoid headaches).
All historical, current and future release changes will be properly logged on the Changes tab above. Below are the changes for the latest update:
TPSB Update 1.1 (June 19, 2016)
- Added support for different biped slots (craft the Tailored Shoulder Bag for slots 54-58 or the default of 61)
- Added support for AWKCR and crafting at the Armorsmith Workbench (requires separate patch under downloads)
- Added support for item sorting mods and icons, using keyword [Satchel]
Politely let me know about any issues in either the comment section or the bug section and I'll get to it as soon as I can. If you have any other concerns, recommendations, requests or even that rare compliment, all are welcome!
However, please be sure you have fully read this Desc tab, the FAQ under the Articles tab, the Bug report list, and my Sticky post before reporting issues or asking questions. If you don't, and the answer is already available, I will politely remind you of where the answer can be found. If you're too lazy at that point, don't be surprised if your post gets deleted. :)
In all seriousness, I'm a pretty easy going person and will try to accommodate you as best I can (within the time I have available). However, I will not hesitate to ignore and delete rude or demanding comments, whether directed towards the mod, myself, collaborators or other posters.
The following is a list of various retex artists that created new textures to apply to Eferas' original Mail Shoulder Bag:
- Wearable Postman Shoulder Bag Retextures, by CommanderMiranda (already included in this mod)
- Wearable Shoulder Bag Retextures by Azar, by Azarkiowa
- Hubris Comics Shoulder Bags, by TotalMeltdown (includes additional artist retexes, so check his page for credits)
- Wearable Small Satchel - Black Retexture, by Ulithium_Dragon
Remember, if you craft the Mail Shoulder Bag, even after installing this mod, the new textures from these artists will still work exactly as described on the retex artist's mod page. These folks are great at what they do and fill in a much needed gap left by the graphically-challenged like myself - I'm sure Eferas would probably tell you the same :)
I make mods first and foremost for two reasons: (1) selfishly make my own game play more fun for me, and (2) unselfishly give back to a modding community that has truly enriched my gaming experience over the years. To that end, I believe strongly in helping you find mods that make YOUR game play MORE FUN FOR YOU! So, the following are similar/alternative mods that can even accommodate the likes of Gopher's "stuff habit":
- Dogmeat's Backpack, by Hifoo (well, of course I'm going to list the most important one first)
- Wearable Backpacks and Pouches, by Aldebaran90
- Wearable Camo Backpacks, by Aldebaran90
- Field Scribe Backpack, by Jet4571
- Survivalist Go-Bags, by TookieJones
Thanks to all of YOU for the views, comments, downloads and endorsements!
Additional special thanks go to:
- Eferas, for his original Wearable Postman Shoulder Bag or Backpack mod, and his permission to do this mod
- CommanderMiranda, for her Retextures included in this mod and many hours of assistance
- Aldebaran90, for the Wearable Backpacks & Pouches mod which first inspired & influenced Eferas' original mod
- Catwoman1989, KamillaDahlia, Elianora, Wogu, and Dragbody, for the textures they provided in Eferas' original mod
Now... who else gives texture artists IN GAME ADVERTISING?!
