Running the command in the console works, but be wary, I'm getting crashes if I try to aim down the scope too quickly too often. Don't know if it's some compatibility issue with something else, but just something to keep in mind.
EDIT: Upon some further testing, I've found that any value below 0.1 will cause crashes for me when zooming in too quickly (i.e. double clicking the right mouse button). So if anyone else is having issues, maybe try that!
Thanks for finding and sharing this setting. I've been looking for it.
If you don't want to use an esp for this it's an easy thing to add to your AutoExec.txt file to run at game start.
AUTO RUN COMMANDS AT GAME START
1. Just make a file in your Fallout4 folder ( / fallout4) named AutoExec.txt
2. Put this and any other game setting command you want in it like this:
;speed up scope animation setgs fScopeEnteringFadeOutSec 0.000001
3. Then go to you fallout4.ini in your My Games \ Fallout 4 folder and put this line in your [General] section.
sStartingConsoleCommand=bat AutoExec
That tells the game to run the commands in AutoExec.txt when the game starts. Saves you from having a bunch of 1 line esp files burning up the limited load order.
Like these gotta put in, but was wondering if would be better in Fallout4Custon.ini, or if it would work in same??? just curious about it as that is the one that is not supposed to be changed if updates occur.
More settings you can put in you autoexec.bat. I always open mods like this one to see if there are game settings I can just add to my batch. I'm not taking anything away from this mod. It was great that deathclay found the setting and tested how it works. I just use it in a different way.
For console people an .esp is the only way they can alter game setting. There's a nich for getting a bunch of these settings into a mod on the console site. Maybe putting them into a computer terminal in-game (vault 111) to let the console crowd pick and choose. It would take a script to remember the settings...
Sorry to bother but I can't find anything on this so far, do you have any clue if there a way to remove the void-like fade-in when loading a save or entering a cell? i know the effect is very simular to what this mod tries to fix so thought they might be related
Thanks, my mind was blown out of my head the first time i tried to zoom with a scope. This mod fixed it swiftly. The things that get passed release in these games though... unbelievable...
See Through Scope was not working nicely with Tactical Reload even with its provided patch for some reason (reloading is working, but not holding breath).
This is a good temporary fix, or maybe even a permanent solution if it never gets fixed.
Regardless, this works and its vanilla so it will be compatible with pretty much whatever happens to the other mods.

I have stuff like this in my AutoExec.txt file.
;longer powerlines
setgs fWorkshopWireMaxLength 10000
;increase jump height
setgs fjumpheightmin 150
Should work in the FalloutCustom.ini. I have not tried it but you are correct. Updates can reset the Fallout4.ini.
