WARNING
Despite this file being low in file-size, once unpacked this mod takes up almost 2GB.
INSTALLATION
STEP 1 (Preparation)
- Edit your Fallout4.ini (My Documents > My Games > Fallout4)
- Look for "sResourceDataDirsFinal"
Add ", SOUND\" after "STRINGS\" (no quotes)
- It should look like: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, SOUND\
- Save your changes
STEP 2 (Installation)
- Find your Fallout 4 files: if you installed it through Steam, this will be in Steam > steamapps > common > Fallout 4
- Open up the "Data" folder inside of your Fallout 4 directory
- Drop the "Sound" folder from this archive in that "Data" folder
- Navigate to your desired voice to change
- For male player: Data\Sound\Voice\Fallout4.esm\playervoicemale01
- For female player: Data\Sound\Voice\Fallout4.esm\playervoicefemale01
- Run CREATE GRUNTS.bat
- Wait 10-20 minutes while the .bat file makes over 13000 copies of the same file.
How To Uninstall
- Delete the Data\Sound\Voice\Fallout4.esm\playervoicemale01 (or playervoicefemale01) folder.
Known Issues
- This mod can make windows explorer stop responding and need to be restarted. You might need a more powerful PC to successfully make the copies.
