About this mod

Changes the Night Person activation function from IsSneaking to IsWeaponOut. Night Person's night vision IMOD now activates depending on whether the player's weapon is holstered or not.

Updated the two 1.0 files, think something got jumbled up when I was archiving the files so it's recommended to update to 1.1. Also included optional versions for those that want night vision to only function while sneaking and with the player's weapon drawn.

Description

Night Person and its predecessor Friend of the Night have always bothered me on how they activate. Many times have I come across a heavily lighted place I need to sneak through that makes the perk effect very problematic. Instead of attaching the activation function to sneaking, I've attached it to the player's weapon being drawn or holstered (Drawing your weapon activates night vision, holstering your weapon turns it off).

I'd much rather attach the activation to a hotkey, but that in itself can be encumbering as well. Currently this is the best method I can think of for changing how the perk activates, I'm open to suggestions but I have tried other options that did not work out very well (i.e. GetLightlevel and IsInIronSights).



Installation

Same as always, just install like any other mod using whatever method your normally use. Make sure to only use one version of this mod based on whether you do or do not have the Far Harbor DLC.


Compatibility

This mod only adjusts the Night Person ability and does not touch the actual perks themselves, so it'll work just fine with any mods that change the perk level and/or SPECIAL requirements.
