Outfit Studio is an amazing program.  Some people may use it to give things larger breasts, or badonkadonk butts, but it is capable of so much more.  For the past several months I have been using it to rig male outfits, hats, and only until recently I have found out that it can also be used to rig MONSTERS.

I appreciate the tutorials that are already here, but lets be honest...to a total noob, 3ds and Blender can be pretty daunting.  With their multiple GB installs, hundreds if not thousands of buttons and features, 40 page PDF tutorials, and having to Google tutorials for 3ds on rigging / weight painting...I didn't have the patience for that.  So I stuck with Outfit studio.

I have made 3 youtube tutorials for covering the basics of converting outfits, hats, and a third one for showing how to get Outfit studio to work with things besides humans simply by changing the reference skeleton!  I hope my information is beneficial to anyone that tries making models in the future, and they have issues with rigging / weight painting in 3ds, where its rather intuitive, straightfoward, and easy in Outfit studio.

This tutorial is for Converting outfits from NV / Skyrim / Any game really.  Even models you have made yourself!  They just need to be in the right pose.

This tutorial is a bit more in depth for converting hats / masks.  For assigning textures and materials, refer to the first tutorial.  This tutorial also covers some extraordinarily basic Blender functions, if you want to edit nifs in any way.

This tutorial shows you how to make other skeletons work with Outfit Studio.  This POTENTIALLY means loads of new custom monsters, robots, anything really.  The Godzilla model here was modeled by Kos, I show you the power of Outfit studio by bringing this Godzilla TO LIFE.
